Becoming? That channel’s whole vibe is ‘edgy teen plays shooters and makes Your Mom jokes’.

I was subbed for a while because I enjoy classic FPS content, but his bits got tired real fast.

Kinda related, about a week ago I finished all these video essays from a particular channel that covers obscure late 90s/early 2000s point and click adventure and survival horror games and started thinking about a game called "D" and started looking for similar videos on that game without being able to find much.

Yesterday, not really looking for anything in particular I see an hour long video about "D" popup in my front page... And it was the freaking GameGrumps. Like, no hate or anything cuz I do like the guys, but cmon. I wanted an essay going into detail about the history of the game (because it has a pretty gnarly origin story) and the universe seemed to have heard me asking, but monkey pawed my ass. 😞

Of all the reviews she has done, the only one I had any prior knowledge of was The Neverhood. I am shocked at how many of these adventure games I definitely would have loved if I knew about them back in the 90s.

When I enabled this niche aggressive category I wanted niche, aggressive segments. But on videos that I liked? This has gone too far. This category is censoring jokes, it is suppressing creative voices. I can't believe there are people out there, making this segments on these works of art. It's a comedy channel for God's sake! I get that this category is for jokes but these jokes are FUNNY! These submitters should be banned, as they clearly don't understand these guidelines. Oh they removed the jokes from LTT? That's fine their jokes are lame. Hey @sponsorblock@fosstodon.org how do I bulk upvote

I just have it on "show in seekbar" and not auto or even manual skip. Mainly because I wanna see what people mean by filler content.

Yeah, that's the reasonable thing to do. Most uses of tangents are things I do want to see, but it's still helpful to enable the category in case something comes up in the video I don't care about.

Being a nerd craving movie and game reviews back in 2009 was rough.

Back then I spent more time on tgwtg than I did youtube. You have no idea how many terrible, several minute skits I had to sit through in order to get the reviews I came for.

Complaining about the reviewer making unfunny quips every two seconds is amateur hour.
