holding flashlight under face

Imagine a terrifying world where we are all ruled by monsters of every stripe. And not hot ones like werewolves, but instead decaying zombies and mummies who are both insensitive to, and actively benefit from the immense suffering they cause on a daily basis. The top echelon of society, filled with profit-seeking, bloodsucking vampires. And the worst of it is that they repeat on a daily basis that what they are doing is not only just, but there is no other possible way to do it.

Pretty spooky, right? What if I told you that this world... was our own?

Happy Halloween!

Friendly reminder: when commenting about a news event, especially something that just happened, please provide a source of some kind. While ideally this would be on nitter or archived, any source is preferable to none at all given.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA daily-ish reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account. Alt here.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Boris Rozhin summary of Putin's speech:

  1. Events in Dagestan were inspired by Western intelligence services and Ukraine through social networks.
  2. The main goal is to undermine Russia from the inside.
  3. With regard to Palestine, Russia will continue to adhere to the position on the need to create a free independent state.
  4. The United States is the main producer of chaos and its main beneficiaries, including in relation to its “allies.”
  5. Russia fights for a new world against a fading superpower. The future of Palestine is being decided, among other things, on the battlefields of Ukraine.

This fucking dumbass has just said he won't invade in full force and expects Israel to keep its forces deployed to fight Hezbollah?

The ambiguity is the whole reason they were forced to deploy there.

Did Israel really lose 300+ troops trying to invade Gaza or does that the total number since October 7th?

Jordan airdrops medical aid to Gaza

King Abdullah II has said that his country’s air force has air dropped medical aid to a field hospital run by Jordan in Gaza.

King Abdullah said it was a “duty” to help, and said “we will always be there for our Palestinian brethren”.

It’s unclear whether Israel or other parties had knowledge of the air drop.

I don't really understand this. how could they air drop something in Gaza without Israel knowing about it? seems like a stunt to try to pacify their citizens - "hey look, we're doing something!"

This volatile dynamic along their borders resulted in the peculiar situation wherein Arab leaders often raised the question of Palestine because of popular pressure but refrained from actually doing anything about it, out of fear of Israel's might and the disapproval of the great powers. The Palestine issue thus became a political football exploited at will by opportunistic politicians, as each sought to outbid the other in proclaiming their devotion to it. Palestinians witnessing this cynical game eventually realized that if anything was to be done about their cause, they would have to do it themselves.

US carrier strike group arrives in Middle East

The US Central Command says the Dwight D Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group arrived in the Middle East as part of the increase in regional posture.

The Eisenhower sailed into the Mediterranean as American forces expand their presence in the Middle East as fears of the Israel-Hamas war spreading rise.

The USS Dwight D Eisenhower aircraft carrier and its strike group moved through the Strait of Gibraltar earlier this week, putting two American carriers in the Mediterranean Sea, a rare sight in recent years.

The USS Gerald R Ford Carrier Strike Group is already in the eastern Mediterranean.

One injured, several arrested in major Israeli raid in Jenin: Report

One person was injured and several others were arrested, after Israeli forces stormed the northern city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian news agency, Wafa, said the Israeli forces were backed by armoured vehicles, bulldozers and Apache helicopters during the pre-dawn raid on Wednesday.

According to Wafa, Israeli forces entered the vicinity of the Jenin refugee camp from the directions of Nazareth, Nablus and Haifa.

Live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas were reportedly fired on several homes in and around the camp.

During the operation, one young man was shot near Jenin’s cinema roundabout. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. It was not immediately clear how severe his gunshot injuries were.

Israel also reportedly deployed snipers on the rooftops of several buildings, and imposed a “siege” on some neighbourhoods as Apache helicopters were hovering.

The report further said that several people were then rounded up, including a lecturer at the Arab American University, the freed prisoner Jamal Haweel, while several homes were surrounded by Israeli forces.

Israeli bulldozers also reportedly destroyed the roundabout near the Interior Ministry headquarters, and smashed the electricity transformers in the Jenin camp’s Jabriyat neighbourhood, resulting in power outage.

Also arrested in Jabriyat were the secretary of the Fatah movement in the Jenin Governorate, Atta Abu Rumaila and his son, Ahmed. They were also reportedly severely beaten by Israeli forces, according to Wafa.

Al Jazeera:

Blinken, Qatari PM discuss latest situation in Gaza
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a social media post that he discussed with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani the urgent need to increase humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
Blinken told the premier, who also serves as foreign minister, that the US appreciates Qatar’s work “to secure the exit of our people from Gaza and the release of hostages held by Hamas”.
At least four captives have been released from Gaza through Qatari mediation so far. Israel has said at least 238 captives are being held in Gaza.
The Axios news website reported that the head of Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, Mossad, travelled to the Qatari capital, Doha, over the weekend to discuss the possible release of more hostages.
Al Jazeera reached out to the Qatari Foreign Ministry for comment on that report but has yet to receive a response.

Ah the infamous 14 words.

I wonder what concessions they got for the 4 captives? Or do they mean the ones that were released of good will.

Situation escalating on US-Lebanon border with Israeli town, military position hit

Several explosions were heard here in Naqoura , for example. Now it’s evening so you can see anything but the Israeli positions behind me, there were huge explosions. Also it was claimed by Hezbollah that they have used today for the first time explosive laden drones and hit an Israeli command center towards the east.

There were around 25 to 30 rockets launched from Lebanon towards the Israeli positions and as we just heard now towards Kiryat Shmona where there was an impact. A rocket hit a residential area there. So situation is unfolding on an hourly basis. This is the first time that Hezbollah is using explosive laden drones.

Also the rockets that we heard here in Naqoura being launched on the naval base, were a bit heavy and they were not intercepted by the Iron Dome. They were not guided missiles, they were surface to surface missiles. So the whole situation here is giving us an indication that things are escalating and this time they’re escalating in a kind of a dreadful way

I watched the mearshiemer video linked in today's MoA - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62FCVJycwSA

Dude is definitely a ghoul. He's a military realist that just wants to focus on fucking around with China for Reasons (us-foreign-policy). There is nothing really new in this, but watch if you want to see what the best advice the Biden regime might be getting behind the scenes. Pretty grim folks!

I wonder how many Palestinians in the West Bank will suffer because of this by the hand of Israeli forces or by hand of the settlers.

Israeli man killed in car shooting in occupied West Bank

We are receiving more information on the shooting that took place in the north of the occupied West Bank.

Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency medical service says the victim, an Israeli man in his 30s, was found dead with gunshot wounds inside his car. The incident took place near the northeastern town of Bayt Lid.

Earlier, the Israeli army said it had started a manhunt to chase the attackers, while also blocking roads in the area.

-Al Jazeera

Edit - I mean in the sense that people will mention this car shooting by name as some kind of excuse for yet more murder.
