I have inherited an Amazon Echo (non-show) gen 2. Would love to liberate it. I posted this recently:

Sadly, the non-show Echoes were apparently not liberated. In principle, a display is not needed. I would love to use an Echo as a headless arm-based computer, which could send a window via X11 or wayland.
can we start calling them liberators or something instead of hackers? 'they' have done a good job of making that term relate to nefarious actions.
