Can I get AppleCare+ theft AFTER I lost my iPhone but still within the 60 days range? (alien.top)

Pretty much the title. Would i still get a replacement phone when getting the anti theft apple care option after i lost the phone? Find my phone and everything was active when it went missing.

No. Insurance fraud is definitely illegal.

As others have already said, what you're wanting to do is insurance fraud and it is illegal. Punishments likely vary based on the jurisdiction.

I get it - losing something that expensive sucks. It's also a life lesson: either we need to be better at taking care of our stuff or, assuming you're near perfect at being responsible, recognize that sometime shit happens and we just have to deal with it.

Adding on to what everyone said, even if it wasn’t illegal, Apple requires a diagnostic check remotely or in person to add AppleCare, so without the phone, you can’t do it. It’s to help prevent fraud.
