When a certain character in the game dies because they’re still loaded into the Net at the moment when someone disconnects the jack, it kinda reminds me of IRL USB devices, where failing to dismount/eject them on the computer before physically removing them can cause problems, especially for the USB device. It almost feels like bait for a dark joke.

What are some other touches of bizarre realism in the electronics of Cyberpunk?

No specific examples, but IoT (internet of things) really got mainstream in cyberpunk's electronics.

Especially the sarcastic line thrown around internet

The "s" in IoT means security

Literally everything is hackable by anyone, zero security on any device.

I always thought it was odd myself, but my studies are focused on various aspects of security so I assumed I was over thinking it.

I'm not a target, or at least, I wouldn't suspect that I'm a target, but I still running privacy and security tweaks, even beyond your typical VPN connection.

I don't understand why the netrunners themselves wouldn't have developed security measures just to protect themselves. I mean, I know most of my frustrating enemies in mixed encounters is another netrunner, if I spot them they're prioritized just for my peace of mind.
