Fuck AI

"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

Most of it is outdated, what?

Low effort post. At least link to an news article, if not the amended rules.

Anyway, this is old news. Here's an article from March https://www.pcworld.com/article/3099863/wikipedia-just-banned-ai-written-articles.html

You’re treating a quick post like it was meant to be a full brief. It wasn’t. If the standard is “no post unless it’s exhaustive,” most discussions wouldn’t exist. This was just a starting point. Think before commenting, anyways appreciate you adding context though.

If you're going to do a "quick post" then don't make any post at all.

We have rules here. Take the time and keep quality high.

No need to be evaluated by your children. Facts don't matter there.

Comparing peer-reviewed citations to parental feelings is exactly why we need editors in the first place.

Bring back local printed news.
