Guests suck. CHANGE IT, ESPN

Guests should only be big football fans, or players/industry members.

Marshawn showing up wasted, Joe Buck just fucking around, and John Stewart complaining about the Giants, these are Hallmark moments of the show.

Whomever that fuckin "comedian" who was on last week, who just babbled about nothing, disconnected, then came back only to do the same shit, was annoying. Idk who she is, she clearly doesn't care about football, and there's no point. This isn't a talk show, it's a MNF game

I want to hear them talk about football. They have all these guests on not talking about football....

They’re boring and I don’t want to see their dopey faces in my living room for 3.5 hours.

Also, I don’t like that the volume on the broadcast is turned down. This production should belong on YouTube where it can have a dedicated audience and they won’t have to worry about wasting a slot

The audio and video quality of the Manningcast is so much worse than the main cast. I don't like that 20% of the screen is their faces which makes the game smaller. The sound quality is muted down and ambient sounds like crowd noise are all lost so the game just sounds terrible.

I would watch it much more if it was just the regular AV broadcast with the Mannings doing basically color commentary with no play by play guy. I don't need to see their faces the whole game.

ManningCast should have two guest, MAX. One for each half of football.

They should really have other camera angles as well. It doesn’t have to be commentary over the main broadcast. I’d love to see a drive of the all-22 with the Mannings and a defensive player putting arrows and circles over each down diagnosing in real time.

If you absolutely must have someone else on, make sure it's a damn football person. I literally couldn't care less about Arnold damn Schwarzenegger and whatever babbling bullshit he was talking about. .

The show fucking sucks. I want to hear about and watch football. I don't want them talking to each other or to guests about random bullshit when the game is on.

Honestly The ManningCast is my favorite sports show right after the TNT NBA pre game crew. Though I like the Mannings just because they're complete dorks about football, but I find their insight to be refreshing compared to most commentators during games. But that's just me, I could do without the guests for the most part but even those can be entertaining sometimes or at least spruce up the horrible games that are often on prime time NFL.

The guests just have a weird chemistry. There’s always somebody talking over somebody. Some silent moments. Just have Peyton and Eli and it’d be way better. Ideally they’d be in the same room too

I am willingly switching to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman during games because I'd like commentary on the sport I am watching and not rambling bs about nothing. Its fun if the game is a boring trash heap to have this stuff but not all the damn time.

It's probably because the the Manning brothers have the charisma of half a toe

I tried watching when the Seahawks played but it just seemed so over the top and stupid. Plus they both seem to be super against Seattle so IDC for em.

Granted the only time I've watched Seattle played the broncos and giants so I guess I understand the bias.

it got worse the minute espn realized it was popualr and started overproducing it. just have the 2 guys and anyone they are actually friends with shooting the shit. i dont want and scripted segments. dead air is fine.

The first few games when it started where great. A lot of football talk and former players. Then it QUICKLY got turned into celebs coming on to endorse something and not talk any football at all.

Just stop having guest appearances. The ManningCast is great because Peyton is awesome, and Eli is funny. I don't want to see Will Ferrell or Arnold Schwarzenegger. I want to see football.

It was telling that when they had Jon Stewart on, a man I fucking adore, I could not give less of a shit about him being there. It got in the way of football.

The whole point of the show was to hang out with two QB's and get their insightful, sarcastic, self-deprecating and funny comments on the game. Now it's basically an ad running during the game.

Who ever is running the program took a good idea and turned it into crap because all they can think about is how to maximize profits for themselves.

Tbh, I think a lot of people have cancelled cable and it’s ridiculously hard to watch Monday Night Football. Sure, the show isn’t what it was and overall this season of football isn’t that good but that has to be a contributing factor.

dude they need guests to talk about football. the game. not a book, a new show or movie, talk about the game of football. When Payton and Eli break down coverages and playcalls thats the absolute best part of Manningcast. sadly thats like 10% of what they do on the show.

I’m pretty dumb when it comes to tv stuff but the manning cast seems hard to find for me. I have the nfl + subscription but never see the manning cast as an option. Would really like to watch it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Guests were fun when they were brief and football related, and when they had good insight on the game. I’d rather listen to normal commentary than Arnold shill his book for 10 minutes.

Shouting into the echo chamber but I feel like less irrelevant guests would do good work. The entire appeal of the ManningCast was that it was two dudes hanging out who also knew their shit about football. The more it gets away from that, the more it becomes just another broadcast.

Everybody with common sense knows thatp the problem is that the show became inundated with guests that literally no one cares about while they’re trying to watch Eli and Peyton chat shit about a football game, but something tells me the network may take the opposite message.

Even if they do get it, it may be too late. I’d rather just watch Troy and Buck at this point.

Maybe if they focused on the god damn game I’d watch. The goal is to watch a football game. If you want to be our commentators, cool I’m all for it with your knowledge. But to make it to where you’re not even paying attention? Just not watchable for a live show if you like either team. They need to fix how they broadcast it because every time it feels like a YouTube video with Peyton’s noggin taking up one half, Eli 3/5, and the rest, the actual game, that’s a little sliver bunched in so that you can barely tell it’s a game. A new show runner or producer is drastically needed

brady was great on the show. talked shit and went down to diagnose plays of the game right after. need people who actually play football.

They explained how to identify man vs zone by who is lined up across from the running back, with just the two of them. It was great and informative. This was 5 minutes after they photoshopped Peyton's hair onto Trevor Lawrence for a joke that went on way too long.

I don't watch because all the ways od accessing ESPN suck balls. ESPN + doesn't even include actual ESPN.

I think the ManningCast would be better as a separate post-game show. It's often hard to follow the game while watching them, so I watch the regular broadcast instead. And it's not like ESPN has something better to air after the game. They just go to filler.

I still enjoy it even if I prefer the times with no guests

The answer is easy. Get rid of the guests. The guests wreck it for me unless they are actually like other players or coaches and they are actually talking about the game. People want to hear the brothers talk about the game, not shill books and cosmetics for celebrities.

Doesn’t help that you can’t watch it on TV in Canada now.

It is nothing like they present it to be. Everyone wants to watch Peyton and Eli talk about the game. Peyton and his Omaha Productions have to siphon every dollar they can out of this by having people shill garbage on the show. Peyton pretends to care about the game of football while injecting a real life ad that no one cares about. It will be one of those "what could have been" things that's just going to disappear. I can't say that I feel the least bit sorry for him.

Show slows down a lot when they get guests and they’re forced to ask them all sorts of meaningless questions that neither brother cares about. Right now it’s a producing issue.

Dear Manningcast intern or producer who is tasked with monitoring this thread.

You have taken an amazing concept and overproduced the hell out of it. You literally have two incredible football minds watching a game together and somehow managed to make it not compelling and not about football.

Some ideas work really well. The giant head prediction board is great because it is about the game. Demonstrations of "behind the scenes" information is perfect. Other football players(or people who really know football) that talk ball and share experiences are great. They can even cut off a story to comment on a play in real time.

Having late show type guests that get asked cringe worthy questions are not interesting in this format. I know some producer is tasked with "increasing our meme worthy content to attract audience numbers from a certain demo to expand the reach of the brand" or some similar corporate bullshit buzzwords. Make a another athlete podcast if you need to, but the game is such a huge part of this format.

Peyton and ELI usually have good instincts about this so hopefully they can override some producer and get this product back to a watchable state.

In my opinion, the toughest thing about the Manningcast isn't the guests. Its that they are competing with the best color commentary duo in the NFL.

If it was Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit on the other channel, you can bet your ass I'd rather watch Manningcast, but I ain't putting them on over Troy and Joe.

I wish they would drop the interviews. Eli and Peyton talking about the game is enough for me. When they have interviews I switch off and now that the main crew doesn't suck I forget to switchback most times.

Easy they went from something organic to a commercialized product.

I would love a show that had a lot of really detailed and insightful analysis from former players as the game played out live.

I have no interest in former players trying to be late night talk show hosts.
