After this game, everyone in this sub still saying the Bears defense sucks will do a turn that would make Brian Boitano blush. Old comments will be deleted and a bunch of new ones made about how they knew the D was good weeks ago.
Chicago Bears
What a take holy shit
Well, what would Brian Boitano do if he were here right now?
That dude should 100% be the next head coach of the Chicago Bears
Build the pyramids and beat up Kublai Khan. Would definitely make Scott Hansen go wild on RedZone
Chiefs also have a good pass defense so it makes it easier to stop the run.
Bucs, Monty got hurt and they mostly abandoned the run. He only played 18 snaps in the game.
We're more like the Chargers, and Lions will be able to stay balanced and unpredictable.
Stats don't mean anything in a revenge game. It's a revenge game for Monty. Remember when Ced Benson ran over us for 189 yards? I'm expecting the same from Monty.
Might be hard if he only gets a dozen carries
Lions going to Lion Bears $ line +400
Who cares. They're a good team, we're not. Good players tend to play well on good teams. Monty is not a world beater, but he's a good player on a good team. Herbert and Foreman would probably run wild on us too on a good team. Hell, they do pretty well on the Bears, and we suck overall.
I know it’s easy to say, Bears are terrible at everything but anyone who can’t admit that this defense isn’t doing good things isn’t watching the games. They’re on the right track.
I did a quick look up and from a statistical perspective they’re on par with the Eagles…
Lions fan here, the Bucs game is an anomaly. Gibbs was inactive & Monty got injured in the first Q
Run!
What are you doing here? Don’t you gotta be over in r/lions telling yourselves you’re Super Bowl contenders
Boooo don’t be like that
No actually I think I’m gonna spread hate
It would be genuinely hilarious if all the lion pictures on r/lions were full of Detroit Lions fans just misunderstanding the sub.
After really bad losses in the past, we turned /r/detroitlions into a sub about actual lions multiple times
“Put your paw in there” - Dan Campbell probably
Hell of a coach!
Didn't he get hurt in the 1st quarter that game
If I was Ben Johnson, my game plan would revolve around picking on Tyrique Stevenson.
Such a bold idea that every single team has thought of it so far this year. He ain’t the most targeted cb in the league for nothing.
More worried about Gibbs honestly. The Bears have no one to match his speed.
You’re presenting this as if LAC is the outlier but actually TB is the outlier. I expect 100+ yards and at least one touchdown from him against us
Monty will have 94 yds and 1 TD.
Gibbs will have 39 yds rushing and 74 yds receiving with 2 TDs. Lions win 38 to 24.
coulda just commented on that thread
I sincerely hope they feed him the ball 30+ times. Not because he won’t chew us up but because I prefer that to Laporta and gibbs eating us alive.
Those are against teams that can score though.
I for one am looking forward to getting dominated by Monty and watching this sub make post after post asking us nobodies why we didn’t keep Monty as if we know wtf we’re talking about
Wonder if Montez Sweat will have some sort of effect on the Lions Oline. He’s my favorite player to watch rn behind Fields. Makes the defense watchable.
It’s a revenge game… we are fucked my boy
- Actual revenge game since we wasted the start of his career.
- Bald Head Aggression.
Honestly I'd be okay with both teams offenses revolving around Monty and Foreman
The Bears are not a top 3 run defense - I don’t care what the stats say.
It doesn't really matter what he does. Bears running backs room is better than it was last year. Monte will run wild on us. Both statements can be true because we are playing the Detroit Lions not David Montgomery.
All I know is I will be watching the game in my #32 jersey because that’s the one the wife got me when I told her my favorite bears wore numbers 32 and 58
Sunday, Fields faces a Lions defense that has given up 30 points per game since Week 7, the most in the NFL.
It’s not so much Monty as much as it’s his o line.
