Russia has more influence with Israel than America, who gives them billions in aid....
Israel was primarily created by Russian and other Eastern European Jews, before eventually getting an influx of Jews running from discrimination across Western, Christian Europe (including Germany) and then finally Holocaust survivors following WWII.
These origins still define the relationships between Israelis and their home countries. I think 1/3 of Israelis can claim Russian or Soviet ancestry.
Also notable that Israel has an active relocation program for people who want to move there from Russia and possibly other former USSR states.
Most of the world really, provided that you're Ashkenazi, those who are not, well. They aren't really welcome in Israel. To the point where the White European colonizers carried out a little genocide against those they deemed Mizrahi, the Jewish groups who had never left the holy land.
Intersect violence pervades ever aspect of human behavior. Sickening.

I'd rather say those 2 are fond of each other. Not long ago there was scandal with Israel buying from Russia stolen Ukrainian grain and even blasted Ukraine for going public with it.
People on reddit defending Israel by saying Russia was still in Syria and would strike Israel but let's be real, Israel is protected by US, Russia wouldn't touch Israel as long as that's the setup so Israel simply has some kind of backstage relationship to act the way they do towards each other.
Russia gave Syria S-300 and S-400 systems which could supposedly knock out some of the most advanced bomber jets, yet not one Israeli fighter was downed over Syria. And this is before F-35s existed.

Well that's an understatement, the countries are closely aligned with trying to destroy final institutions like international law, war crimes, and both are actively trying to redraw borders through force, not to mention the leaders having active arrest warrants from the ICC. That's before you even get started on the Epstein blackmail network and manipulation of influential people around the world. They are so aligned the most surprising thing is that people are surprised by statements like this
