Dude literally begged ownership to stay and this sub wants to force the narrative he never wanted to be here

[–] opeth10657@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The guy that asked for a trade begged to stay?

[–] Dabage@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

From his comments, no, he wouldn't have stayed because he didn't want to be here. If I'm a professional athlete in the NFL I also would stay far away from the Bears. We are perennial losers and this organization cannot manage a team to save their life.

The amount of disrespect you show to Saint Omni is disgusting.

[–] _islander@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Saint Omni got Roquan traded to a contender. As a result his career will be more profitable in the long run. Point for Saint Omni. Disgruntled Bears fan zero.

[–] BigTimeButNotReally@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Neat. I was joking about the fact that OP said Roquan represented himself. Thanks for your... Passion.

[–] y_wont_my_line_block@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah Roquan Smith might be good at football.

[–] chriskwi02@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You know what I always think about. You think guys like Montgomery and Smith enjoy seeing the Bears struggle like they do after how they left, or do you think they think more about their former teammates and how they're being affected by the team struggles?

He's cool I guess, but he's no JACK SANBORN.

That rushing defense ranking doesn't seem right.

[–] Apotheosis69420@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Who cares if he’s his own agent? He got paid, he’s where he wants to be.

What's the over/under on Roquan posts by Sunday's kickoff?

[–] _islander@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You sound like a spurned lover now

Roquan truthers jerk off to their exs

[–] fivemagicks@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dude, what? I mean we have some solid LB's right now, but to troll on Roquan Smith is just ignorant. He's, arguably, one of the best if not the best linebacker in the NFL.

[–] BuffaloBrain884@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bears fans will overrated the hell out of their own players (see the Kmet top 5 TE post the other day) then as soon as they leave, we say they were never that good to begin with. Classic meatball reaction.

So tired of this Roquan shit and the bengals completely exploited him last night. He did not have a good game which was amusing considering commentary was kissing his ass. Great job with your tackles though!

[–] Draker-X@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

the bengals completely exploited him last night.

To the tune of 169 total passing yards and 13 non-garbage-time points for the game. I'm sure Roquan felt like shit after the game last night; only making 10 tackles and getting the big W.

[–] thetreat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

To shed some color on the teams the Ravens D played after Roquan got there last year.

Saints with Andy Dalton Panthers with Baker Jags with Trevor (4 TDs/28 pts given up) Broncos with Wilson (9 points given up) Steelers with Trubisky (14 pts , 2 TDs) Browns with Watson (13 pts, 1 TD) Falcons with Ridder (9 pts, 0 TDs) Steelers with Pickett (16 pts, 1 TD) Bengals with Burrow (27 pts, 2 TDs)

So they benefited a lot from facing a fairly weak schedule of QBs.

Roquan is a very good LB, but I don’t think he’s the sole reason that D is playing better.

I mean this sincerely: Does anyone have Roquan Smith PFF rankings or any other statistically meaningful reference of how he's been on the Ravens since coming over? Is he even the highest rated player on this defense?

I'll be honest, I watched him last night and Roquan is solid. Like he was on the Bears. Making tackles but, I didn't really see him playing "Ray Lewis" level football that they were talking about. I just can't think 1 player, even a good one, can make this much of a difference that said, I'm interested to figure this out.

[–] threwzsa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Didnt help our defense much sir. We had a bottom of the barrel defense where he was just as invisible as anyone could be in it since 2018.

[–] fascha3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Anyone believing that one off linebacker can bring that much change to your defense is on crack.

[–] Subject_Topic7888@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He didnt want to be here. I dont know why people are so thick headed and act like we traded him against his will.

its was clear as day he wanted out, otherwise he wouldnt pull the weird Saint Omni stunt. so yes, he is a fucking headcase.

amazing player though, no doubt about that.
