Whenever I press it this shows up and not the nicer folder you have
How can you create the toggle shortcut on/off.

Here's how I did it.
- Open Shortcuts App
- Tap the + button in the top right corner.
- Tap the Add Action Button.
- Tap in the Search Field and Search "Set Silent Mode".
- At the top of the screen it will say Turn Silent Mode On.
- Tap the word "Turn" and select "Toggle"
- Go to the search bar at the bottom of the page and Search "Vibrate Device"
- Tap Done in the top right hand corner.
Skip step 5b if you don't want a vibration notification. Thats all.

Is there an advantage to using some of these shortcuts? I mean the camera and the flashlight ones for example.

Ehh, not necessarily. Just yet another way to access them. I will probably end up replacing some of the redundant ones as I think of better shortcuts to include instead.

You underestimate how muh easier is to click tbe Action Button vs dragging the Control Center down. Specially one handed or carrying stuff.
They should add an “open control center” shortcut action for this purpose.
Not if you’re just going to select your action from a menu like OP is doing. In some ways it’s even less convenient than the Control Center because the menu items are at the very top of the screen.
Not just that, but a lot of the most important functionality in control center is further hidden under long presses. Takes FOREVER to bring up a list of Bluetooth devices or WiFi networks or the hotspot/airdrop settings.

Yeah, some are kind of redundant but I plan on swapping them out as I think of more convenient shortcuts to put in their place.

Yep. There’s a difference between living rich and being rich. Not to say this necessarily applies to this person, but a hard thing to process on social media nowadays.
Bruh why do people always say this shit. The median income of new BMW purchasers is $125,000. Credit isn’t easy to come by anymore anyways.
I know it’s Reddit’s fantasy that everyone who drives nice cars and has nice shit is just in massive debt but it’s by and large not true.
You have to be pretty well off to even get approved for a loan on a new BMW even if the car itself is a stretch for you

This is much nicer looking than the List method, but is there any way to make it show more than 8?
I don’t believe so, I have the action button opening a shortcuts folder that contains these 8 shortcuts. If you add any more than 8 it will show you the first 8 in the folder, in the order you have them in.
Shame it limits to only 8, but a nice use of the Action Button all the same, thanks for sharing
Agreed, wish you could move between sections and just create another 8. The only way I've been able to add more options is to use 7 icons of your choice, with the 8th being the "List" method. Here's an example of how I have it setup. But I'll be switching most of the buttons and applications when I have time today.

Mein BMW
I tried to do the shortcut folder thing but I was unable to customize the icons
You should be able to tap the icon next to the title of the shortcut while you’re in it and it will allow you to change the color and glyph.

So this actually isn’t a single shortcut running, I created a folder in the shortcuts app and then created these 8 individual shortcuts within that folder. Then I mapped the action button to open that shortcuts folder when pressed and this is the result.
These shortcuts were super simple to make, with most just being a single action within the shortcut.

This honestly should have been the default for action button. Having a favorites list trumps a single action.

That’s cool. Feels very Samsung with the color/icon scheme though.
Well. I will try this. I’ve been using the Camera and love that I can long press to bring up and then use the button to snap pics. The way the camera works as a shortcut here, I have to use the actual button on the screen. 😒 but I like having multiple options.
Anyway to stop the autostart of „mybmw“ app when starting the car?
Oh this is cool, I’ve been using it in the list mode, so it just shows each item listed from top to bottom. I really like this way. It’s crazy so many ppl don’t realize the power of this button lol.

Congrats you mimicked Android. No hate please, I have both and am waiting for my latest iPhone and will follow your lead. Just stating a fact, it has been a glaring unnecessary omission , no reason it's not default like this by now.
