Crazy. It’s almost as if it takes time to build back a roster after completely gutting it.

People make too much of this. It was Poles’ introductory press conference. He’s supposed to project optimism. What was he supposed to say? “We have a dog shit roster and a QB I didn’t pick. I also didn’t run the coaching search. So we’re gonna suck for two years and maybe punch thru in year 3. Go Bears!”
