  1. I have forgotten to eat and holy shit has it actually been 10 hours?
[–] xintrik@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

a. Lunch breaks are those annoying things that pull me out of flow state.

I'm just either extremely hungry and can eat 4000 kcalories and become hungry an hour later (despite my stomach aching like hell) or I can't eat more than 600 kcalories without wanting to die

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Very relatable... why are we like this?

[–] achance4cheese@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yes, cheese is always the answer

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm already married, but can I also marry you, too?

[–] achance4cheese@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I’m married, too! Best you can is remain fondue of this internet stranger!

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's OK if you can't brie mine. I'm just grateful for this interaction.

[–] achance4cheese@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago

Absolutely no parm in it!

[–] BobbyBandwidth@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Let’s just say there are teeth marks on my cheese blocks

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Is there any other way?

Sometimes I also like to slightly microwave cheese before eating it, like just a few seconds...

[–] Entropywins@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I'm with you on taking bites out the brick... but the microwave... well to each their own... keep doin you

[–] xintrik@lemm.ee 3 points 2 years ago

Chilled, firm sharp cheddar.

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

I know, it's weird. Gives my husband material for jokes.

[–] Crazychicken563@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Replace #1 with "Wait how did I manage to eat so much, I'm gonna be sick" and it'll be me 100%

[–] atimholt@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I've started on a meal replacement shake called Huel. It's pretty good.

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I use Soylent, it's been a lifesaver. I can usually force myself to chug one when I can't stomach anything else. Then at least I am getting some calories and vitamins. I'll have to check Huel out!

I could never—eating (and cooking, for that matter) is one of the very few small joys I can rely on.

[–] DessertStorms@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago

The selection of vegan cheese around here is rubbish, so sadly no longer the last one, but how is this so fucking accurate?? 😂

[–] Treatyoself@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

I feel so seen

[–] variants@possumpat.io 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don't know how people can eat so much cheese

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

To be fair, I don't either, yet it happens. I have 0 willpower when it comes to cheese.

[–] Bumblebb@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago

Replace cheese with granola and this is my preggo ass

[–] Kiloee@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 2 years ago

I was today old when I learned other people do the cheese thing too. I only like mild cheese and usually on bread, but sometimes I have the urge to just eat a bit like that.
