We're going to have to call the police.

It is not considered lawful to be slinging this much fire indoors.

Ouch, that's rough! I don't think he's ever died this many times in an arc before. Heck, it feels like he's died more times this season than in the other 3 combined!

Anyways, the suffering doesn't end here. He found his book, so now he gets to relive his high school debut or (lol) maybe how he met Julius!

My brother, holy fuck what an episode! Best of the season so far.
Subaru is finally having guts to strategically use return by death.

Reid fucking reincarnated, what a legend!

Subaru is probably scared shitless of reading that book and dying / being erased by the original, but I believe that they will merge.

Subaru recovering his memories will for sure help solve the challenge, since this Subaru doesn't remember that speaking about return by death kills his enemy. He could use Satella to defeat Reid, if thats even possible.

Another possibility is that when he rediscovers himself, he will better be able to strategically position and use everyone's skill, and how to motivate them.

It actually reminds me of the echidna route. It isn't necessarily a great thing, and realizing that he can't just be killing himself all the time was Major character growth a couple seasons ago.

The reintegration of old Subaru and current Subaru is exciting, but I have to admit I don't know it's going to be effective. I don't know what information old Subaru would have that new Subaru is lacking.

We know it worked this way once, when it wasn't in Subaru's favor. There's no reason to assume Satella won't just kill Subaru this time instead if he tries solving his problems that way. She has massaged his heart threateningly in the past after all.

Shower thought that I had: what if there's more than one book? He's died several times after all. Imagine he found a book that just ends with Rem torturing him or something.

Probably not how it's going to go, but it's funny to think that it could.

So that's how Reid was able to get out of his exam room across all the loops, he raised his Ego stat so high he can overpower others personality and very bodies just with his memories alone - what a legend! This entire season has been incredible but I think this might have been my favorite episode so far. The whole Shaula moment, Subaru facing death again and again and learning from every mistake as he keeps looping over and over, and the very human moment of trying to play things off but his body failing him as he finally breaks down from the trauma of seeing his friends die again and again. Peak isekai continues to deliver!
