/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

The improvised explosives knowledge she imparted back would go on to serve MacGyver well when he was tapped to lead in the Stargate program

C4? Pfft! She came loaded with Babylon 5

And that’s how the Bajorans discovered naquadah

Just watched this episode on Monday!

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 28 points 4 days ago (1 children)

TIL Nana Visitor was in MacGyver. That’s actually pretty cool.

[–] _NetNomad@fedia.io 10 points 4 days ago

iirc she was in at least two, fairly close together but as completely different characters

[–] FartsWithAnAccent@fedia.io 26 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Do I smell a Chevron 7/Ten Forward crossover?

Is that the one where Doctor Who saves C3PO?

you know the worst part? i just wrote up a little thought making a little fun of the idea you presented, but in Dr Who universe (kind of a reducto ad absurdium) and i can absolutely see the Gisnep collaboration forcing them into the stupid direction i just mocked [c3po was Dr Who's wetnurse and there's an episode where dr who has to protect both young dr who and c3po and there's lots of running. also c3po wetnursing because of all the robot boob fetishists (no judgment to the fetish, just the grok usage), as the grok data has shown so thanks internet for that] so i either need more drugs or less and i'm really not sure right now.

We'll hang out with Professor Elemental in the Inn at the End of Time.

I've been re-watching SG-1. I just watched The Gamekeeper, and completely missed that Broccoli was The Keeper.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago

Cowen and Michael weren't in SG:1 though, so slightly spaced out

Colonel Jack O'Neil and Colonel Kira Nerys.

Kira would 100% dig the P90.

[–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 13 points 4 days ago

Two L’s! There’s another O’Neil, with one L, but he doesn’t have a sense of humor.

[–] Infynis@midwest.social 5 points 3 days ago

More likely she realized the Federation needed a little backbone, so she went back in time and taught us her skills. That's Bajoran Seat-of-the-Pants Technology™

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The world, and quite possibly the universe, would not exist today if she found MacGruber instead.

[–] wjrii@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Richard Dean Anderson. Shitposts is leaking.

[–] Ydna@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

She could have used the ancient repository of knowledge, that did the trick a couple times

[–] Hupf@feddit.org 8 points 4 days ago

Looks like MacGyver had a visitor.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago

MacGyver knows more than a Colonel in the Bajorian resistance. Maybe.

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

I remember bumping into that episode once and having my mind blown. Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is perfect for anything around these two.

[–] Danarchy@lemmy.nz 4 points 4 days ago

If u twist up some paper clips into a rubber band real good & let it go so it jumps around all crazy like back in the day those can really fuck up a changeling’s goop matrix in fact you never see paper clips or rubber bands in the delta quadrant largely for this reason but there are others

[–] thenextguy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 days ago

He used to be MacGuyver, MacGadget, MacGimmick. Now he's MacUseless.

[–] ruuster13@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Too bad for Damar a paper clip, duct tape, or Swiss army knife don't help you dodge.

[–] AbsolutelyNotSpez@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)
[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

And a TFS reference to boot? This thread has everything.

[–] AbsolutelyNotSpez@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

I was only introduced to TFS about 2.5 years ago, but I've loved every second of DBZ and Hellsing Abridged.

[–] ms_lane@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Should of got a wrench.
