That Moon Studios dude sounds like a moron every time he says anything. Second Wind are being way too generous here by calling his take worth exploring.
My take is the reviewer's job is to give me knowledge about the game, and my job is to gauge how likely for this knowledge to be closer to the truth while taking into account my previous experience with similar games and the reviewer's profile.
Smart reviewers know this and stick to what they offer best. For example, when ACG reviews Devil May Cry 5, he's not gonna go deep on combat because he knows this isn't what his audience, which's mainly mainstream, want to see and it's not his forte.
As opposed to that, when Combat Overview reviews Ninja Gaiden 4, he'll go all in on combat because this is what his audience expect, and it is very much what he excels at.
Taking this into account, it's not really difficult to see why and how 2 reviewers could have diametrically opposing opinions about 1 game, be both correct, while largely aligning with 2 separate factions of the player base.
Implying every reviewer should strive to appeal to the wider player base is weak mentality of someone who wants to ship copies no matter what.
