He's so unlikable. Being a douche is one thing, but he tries so hard to be edgy, which is worse.

“Scorpion comforts frog.”
Least charismatic politician. Trump dying would derail MAGAs grab for total power, or at least set it back.
MAGA is a classic cult of personality, and the moment that Trump assumes room temperature, MAGA dies with him. The rest of these losers are totally being held up by Trump, and without him, the knives will come out, and the most vicious back-stabbing we've ever seen will begin.
They all have out-of-control narcissistic personalities, so they all think they deserve to be his successor, including political acolytes, but also family. Don Jr, Eric, and Kushner all see themselves as successors, possibly even Ivanka.
But the truth is, without Trump, the street level MAGA will lose interest, and go back to supporting televangelists, and all those MAGA politicians will find themselves on the wrong side of EVERYTHING, with nobody supporting them. The rest are the White Supremacists, and they'll just go back to being ignored.
I'm imagining the scene in Succession where Kendall's on the phone, trying to play hardball with an investor like his dad did. Turned out he wasn't good at it, and the investor never appreciated being hardballed in the first place.
Does anyone actually take this giant douche seriously?
I guess the people signing his cheques think he's cool.
That would be Peter Theil.
