Should also read “has things up sleeve”

[–] Wheymen_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I believe, not joking, that a random person on the street could do as good or better job than this.

[–] stopklandaceowens@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

this MF is trash. Never in my life have I had to watch Bears press conferences to get an explaination as to what that shit was.

[–] Bleachighost@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Seeing a shitty ass coach on the bulls and bears is not ideal

What happens when dinosaurs own a sports team

[–] Cant_Spell_Shit@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This was a bizarre hiring. We have a young talented QB that we need to develop and evaluate... Lets hire like the 8th best DC in the league as our head coach and not even interview Mike McDaniel.

I'm just an idiot fan and even I knew this was a terrible hire.

It’s wild to me that people don’t understand how to use the words worse and worst properly.

[–] Kazu2324@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

People mixing up resign and re-sign drives me nuts. They mean opposite things lol.

Bears organization

[–] zepskcuf4life@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Y'all need to pull a raider ASAP. Got an ex defensive player on staff?

[–] jakej619@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I find it hilarious that are always down to defend fields, bad line, no WRs, etc but flus came into the org last year trading away people and not having much to work with. Besides Morrow most of his starting d last season isn’t even in the nfl.

Not a flus fan, but it’s wild how people treat situations so dif.

[–] MusicValuable7785@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

To be fair, on defense I blame it on whoever was the defensive coordinator. And that was, that would be uh, him.

[–] carlos2127@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wow. I'm not thankful for this

[–] suckmyfatfuckinballs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The literal worst Bears HC in history.

[–] TheSportingRooster@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Marc Trestman is pointing and laughing.

[–] whitem0nkey@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He has things up his sleeve, just wait you see.

[–] KeenKong@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] 0100101001001011@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Man, you gotta fire this dude after the lions loss. You just have to find a fill hc to get through the season. Otherwise the organization is saying they're okay with what is happening.

[–] HonoluluMaizeandBlue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just out of curiosity, were Bears fans pretty enthused when he became head coach?

[–] snwns26@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Defensive mastermind.

[–] Chi-Guy86@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

0-9 in the division for two seasons should be an automatic firing, regardless of the other stats (which are also horrible)

[–] incognito_nfl_pr_guy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I was in camp , but there was a tank last year so his record and stays last year shouldn't count... But even if you took this year in a vacuum he should still be on the hot seat. Especially with all the strange goings on of his staff plus the reluctance to adapt to a generational talent like Justin.

[–] calculung@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] OkBoomer6919@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Now do Justin Fields

[–] lobster_liberator@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Doesn't even wear a cap. He takes care of the visor burn left by Nagy but with no eye protection for noon games and I think that will be his greatest downfall.

Now Jim Harbaugh, that's a man with optimal sun protection.

[–] Standard_Employee751@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Poles has this same resume.

Gotta clean house

[–] zonewebb@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So you’re saying they’re going to extend him?

[–] digpartners@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We have lost a number of games late that an average defense would have won. Unfortunately I was at those games. Broncos, Saints, and Lions.

[–] GoodTrust5444@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What’s the Def stat since he started calling the def plays?

[–] msf97@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Eberflus should be gone. Not a level raiser. But people are also ignoring the extreme lack of talent on the team, something that’s commonly brought up to defend Fields.

Bears fans kool aiding themselves into Fields MVP and playoff talk shouldn’t be held against the coach because that was delusion, plain and simple.

[–] mikeyb1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

To be fair, he inherited a dumpster fire and he was never going to be the guy that turned the franchise around.

[–] nerdcost@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Am I supposed to upvote or downvote this?

[–] frydawg@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No way it can get worse than nagy…

[–] Ok_Reputation4142@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The “HITS” keep coming.

[–] SleezeBallGang@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Imagine getting fired and not winning 1 single division game 💀

[–] BrickWallington@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I didn't like the hiring at the time, I thought it was overwhelmingly meh I wanted McDaniels (I wanted a Shanahan guy same reason I will likely be advocating for Slowik) , Daboll (Josh Allen), Harbaugh or Jim Caldwell (which is unpopular I know). I did not want a defensive guy. BUT I thought 'Hey he at least wont be embarrassing' 'He should at least bring discipline and accountability which we need for a rebuilding team'. I could not have been more wrong. Terrible, I have never hated a coach more.

[–] Kirko_Bangz_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What’s harder coaching an NFL team or scrolling through Reddit to see the Eberflus sucks posts have been done 1000 times.

[–] Schicktopia@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Reading your shit posts.

[–] Academic-Business-45@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The greatest tank coach. The goat I tell you

[–] cocoatractor@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Eberflus is a freaking awful coach but the “hasn’t beaten a team over .500” is dumb if you only count their record when they played the Bears. He beat the 49ers in his first game and they won 13.

It’s like a CFB team claiming a ranked win when they beat a team that ended up 4-8 because they were ranked preseason.

[–] rhj2020@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s a bad head coach but I think the bigger problem is our general manager thinks he’s a good coach.

[–] Lil_we_boi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Agree he's horrible, but the 49ers ended the season over .500 last year. We were the reason they technically started "under .500" at the time

[–] gweaver@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I practiced playing gridiron once and pulled a groin - and even though I've watched every single Bears game since 2005 (bar three) and a hundred more other games - I don't understand a lot of coverage stuff and football concepts. But I literally couldn't do a worse job than Flus has.

[–] DaBears6452@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

While this is a great breakdown of Flus, it should be noted this is Poles team that’s been assembled and much like its coaching staff, the roster wasn’t built with much football intelligence.

[–] acripaul@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The worst hiring in Bears history.

Ownership need to be honest with themselves, and ask who was responsible for this.

[–] Dependent-Edge-5713@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Icy-Butterscotch3286@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I just don't understand how we keep picking terrible coaches. I understand the John Fox hiring. He at least brought a small amount of badly needed stability. But Trestmann, Nagy, and Eberflus? Couldn't they just throw a dart at assistant NFL coaches and do better??? How could they do worse?

[–] Sadcupcake_uwu@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The McCaskeys don’t want to spend money on a coach with a proven track record of winning. They’d rather pay peanuts to take the chance on some assistant coach that nobody cares about, as long as he’s a yes man.

[–] ConservativebutReal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Other than those few minor items I don’t see an issue…😂😂😂

[–] Han_Yerry@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Someone was just defending this the other day. Had to be one of his family members. He deserves all the football ire that's dealt to him from the fanbase.

[–] Ok-Tune-8859@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It's Wista sauce, lol
