I think it’d be a good pick. If you get an o-lineman and a stud WR in round one, you’re set. Most QBs would succeed with that lineup.
Trade down with our first pick to a place we can still get him. Even if it’s just 1 to 3. Value plus a generational talent.
As a Lions fan I'd be fine if the Bears take him. You've already got Moore, who is excellent. Shouldn't you start bolstering your offensive line instead?

Good QB is 10x harder to get than a good WR, and Fields has only marginally improved. It is very likely our first pick will be a QB, and MHj might not be available when with our second
If we dont draft this man it will be a colossal mistake and I willing to put money on it with whoever

Recent mock I saw had Bears taking Maye at 2 and MHJ at 3. That honestly a dream scenario in my opinion.
Maye, DJM, MHJ, Kmet, and Herbert is a pretty solid skills group. Tyler Scott could be a good speed guy as a WR3
It's very doubtful we end up with #3. Patriots aren't winning another game they have a very tough schedule. We play Arizona later in the year, that's a must lose if we want to pick ahead of them.

Our pick may not be high enough to get much by trading down. It'd be #4 today but all the teams below us are truly putrid and they all have tough remaining schedules there's a good chance they don't win another game.
Bears are relatively healthy for the first time all year, we'll be going into a bye week to recover even more, and our remaining schedule isn't that crazy. We probably rattle off a few wins and end up picking in the 10 range.
If MHJ is picked by the Bears, then I think Poles will sign Kirk Cousins as a free agent QB and keep Fields as the backup.
