To start I have been a bears my whole life and have only missed like 5-6 games the past 18 years combined.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I love Justin fields and he’s honestly the only reason I have looked forward to watching the bears the past two seasons. I know he’s not the greatest thrower but he’s so fun to watch. All my years of watching bears football and he is by far the most entertaining qb I have ever seen in a bears uniform. I really hope he can turn it around I think he has all the talent in the world and my biggest dream is seeing us win the super bowl and him holding up the mvp trophy. I really hope he works out guys 😞😞.

Yeah there are a lot of people here like you. I hope you are right.

[–] areyoume29@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Justin is this you?

[–] no-twerp@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Been a Bears fan for a long time. I have never legitimately "loved" an offensive player on the bears. Defense? Hell yeah. Special teams? Hester is my fav player ever.

Fields is far and away my favorite offensive bears player of all time. He is so fucking fun to watch when he has a good game. I truly hope he can prove he's our guy.

Totally forgot about Forte! Shame on me.

Loved Marshall for the couple years he was here, just wish it could've happened for more than 2 years.

Alshon Jeffery is similar. 2 great seasons with a bunch of mediocre ones.

[–] NAMESPLISSKEN@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have fonder memories of the Sex Cannon than any with Fields.

[–] Stommped@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How old are you, like 12?

[–] thebarbarain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I think Justin's that dude. Will always root for his success. He's been a class act this entire time and I want him to go be the superstar he can be if this dog shit organization won't fire Flus and getsy

[–] Chance-Preference828@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yea I agree I think if he gets traded it’ll haunt us then every fan would be like “we shoulda stuck with fields”

[–] rads2riches@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I said that about Mitch. I rooted for him to show the Bears they lost out on him when he went to Bills and Steelers but turns out not to be. Unfortunately feel Justin will likely have the same fate.

[–] Lobanium@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I like the dude, but if they get rid of him, I'll forget about him pretty much right away.

This reads like a 10 year old wrote it for a school assignment.

[–] bred_binge@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Because it probably was. Reddit is mostly teenagers

[–] jakej619@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s my bestest fuwend in the whooo wide wold

[–] Aftertheairleft@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What a sad little person you are, disparaging someone for fandom. You’d be so lucky to have something to grip on to so instead you belittle others on the internet. What a cool thing to do

[–] SellFragrant2836@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wah wah wah

[–] Nielas_Aran_76@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If watching football is so fun that it makes you feel like a kid again, then I'm all for it.

[–] ErnooA@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I was thinking it was written by his parents. Lol

[–] PercyBluntz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wish he was better at football. But he seems like a good guy.

[–] Mgroppi83@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

It's hard not to love the kid. He's passionate, wildly physically talented, and just fun to watch. I really hope he succeeds, preferably here. Even if we move on from him, I'll still be cheering for him.

[–] ChallengeMe2010@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Best answer here. Some ppl act like Fields doesn’t have several legit “wow” moments each week. Let’s not act like the system he plays in isn’t broken and it would be difficult for even Joe Montana to succeed in.

[–] feardabear@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I felt the same for Mitch. I was hoping like hell he’d show up in Pittsburgh and light it up. I knew he wasn’t good, but I just had hope that eventually he would figure it out.

[–] Disco_Ninjas_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm in the bench and learn for 3 years club, so I am excited to see how he does in the future. He is a lot more fun to watch this year and is maturing. Maybe it didn't happen as fast as people wanted, but Poles will keep him, and next year, we will make a real run.

[–] Alarmed_Road_7530@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You love him because he’s the only Bears QB that has ever been “special” in any capacity. The only problem is he isnt special at playing QB in the NFL. He is an explosive playmaker who is getting really good at giving a mature press conference after losing a game.

😂😂😂

[–] lontderfy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm with you, I just like the guy. I really hope it works out for him, but it doesn't seem promising that the bears front office will keep him after this year. The thing is I think he'd work out somewhere else, and that makes it so much worse, to draft Drake Maye or Caleb Williams, have them under-preform, and watch Fields in Atlanta just ball out and make the playoffs. I'd rather Matt Nagy rub coarse salt in my eyes then watch that.

[–] tokenblak@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tf is this sub, man???

[–] Gryffindorq@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i love watching him play that’s for sure

[–] Impressive_Benefit_9@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I absolutely adore Fields. I’m an Ohio State fan and when he was announced as the starter over Tate Martell who was ranked crazy high, I was like “who the hell is this dude?”

2 drives later I was smitten lol. He just looks cool to me, kinda like cam did. Big, fast, 1 on the jersey, etc,. I’m leaning towards him not panning out so I’ve decided to just enjoy the time he has left in a bears uniform.

[–] The-Implication-0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You’re really weird.

[–] Iffybiz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I feel the same way. First off, he seems like a legitimately good guy. Says all the right things, plays hurt, teammates love him and players around the league have respect for him. He has a ton of talent. He’s a guy you want to succeed.

I’ve also seen QB turn it around. Saw Drew Brees get benched against the Bears during his third year. He was frankly, terrible. I remember how everyone thought it was a joke when SF traded for Steve Young, he was universally considered a bust. I’ve seen the reverse too, Jay Cutler was way better with Denver and regressed when he came to the Bears.

The older I get, the more I realize that the NFL is a coaching league. It’s not just fielding an extremely talented team but having the right coaches and scheme for the players drafted and signed.

[–] Standard_Employee751@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Best Bears QB ever

[–] knockknock619@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He broke Vick's record. Vick won me 3K in fantasy money and Fields almost propelled my losing team to win last year but my team sucked.

He's my BEARS QB. Simple. Build around him. Safe to add a solid back up though.

[–] FaithlessnessFine72@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

What a fucking weird sub this is

[–] theboykauai@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Welcome to sports reddit. If you're not a reactionary, you have no place on this platform. I had to get away from the falcons subreddit because of how toxic the fanbase is on reddit.

[–] Stommped@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The lack of QB success has made people here brain dead. No body stans a mediocre QB harder than the people do in this sub.

[–] Sweet_Rent_2715@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He can’t even hang on to the fucking football

[–] ChampionMiserable626@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This post has aged like milk left in a vehicle with the windows up on a 97 degree day and there’s still two minutes left in the 4th.

[–] Leg-oh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would trade him for a bag of Fritos right now.

[–] sri_peeta@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

yeah...not anymore....this season has truly laid bare who JF is and I nothing him at this point. All the drama and running his mouth about being kings of the north, blaming the coaches for his shit play(some what true) and being a year 3 QB with shit to show for has killed the fun from his game. Like most Bears QB, he's a good guy but a below par QB.

[–] YoHoochIsCrazy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s an incredibly exciting player to watch. I’m with you. Football is better with a guy like him playing it.

[–] TerrrorTown75th@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We won so maybe you’re on to something kid. Need more positivity round here that’s for sure.

[–] Nielas_Aran_76@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's shown improvement every year. Last night, I think they tried to protect him because of the thumb and didn't let him throw downfield - until they absolutely needed it, and he delivered.

He's a mid-level starting QB imho, not top tier.

[–] cfPIRATEmd@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nice try, Justin.

…you’re still my QB1 though. 🐻⬇️

[–] Ok_Reputation4142@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s just a really likable QB!

[–] Extra_Bathroom_8306@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fuck yea dude!! Fields is the most exciting thing to happen to the bears since jay cutler was hired.
