I knew it was shit when a bunch of neoliberal media ghouls were fawning over it and talking about how they liked the rapping. 40 years of Rap and they finally found some they liked. It had to be awful.

SMH they couldn't even be normal and like 90s hip hop like every other white person.

SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ICE CUBE OR NWA LIKE A NORMAL CRACKER

It feels like having a history book of questionable accuracy rapped at you by the whitest person on earth.

The history is revisionist and I'm convinced it's effective contemporary propaganda placating the founding fathers and American Revolutionary War. Providing a modern interpretation which folks can connect to with a veneer of progress.

The music is wonderful, as much as I dislike the content, the musical prowess, I think, needs to be commended.

I always assumed the rap in the musical sounds like the conservative raps Troy did on community when joining the football team. I.e. extremely dated and lame.

The raps remind of the Duff Hall of Presidents scene from the Simpsons. They're also a lot like Epic Rap Battles of History, which is an even worse dunk to me because I really can't stand that channel.

It's a lot of popular rap music with the same beat, cadence and rhyming structure, just different (usually) lyrics

I always hated that overhyped liberal shit and I got so much shit for saying so when it was new, but I kept saying it anyway.

When I first watched it, it was with several of my more liberal friends, and I felt like I was taking crazy pills when said friends were talking about how innovative and brilliant Hamilton was as a masterpiece musical.

soypoint-1 "What if white oligarchs... but black and rapping in a way that makes whitey feel safe?" soypoint-2

I watched the first few minutes of the movie version and then turned it off.
