If you find an injured owl:

Note your exact location so the owl can be released back where it came from. Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist to get correct advice and immediate assistance.

Minimize stress for the owl. If you can catch it, toss a towel or sweater over it and get it in a cardboard box or pet carrier. It should have room to be comfortable but not so much it can panic and injure itself. If you can’t catch it, keep people and animals away until help can come.

Do not give food or water! If you feed them the wrong thing or give them water improperly, you can accidentally kill them. It can also cause problems if they require anesthesia once help arrives, complicating procedures and costing valuable time.

If it is a baby owl, and it looks safe and uninjured, leave it be. Time on the ground is part of their growing up. They can fly to some extent and climb trees. If animals or people are nearby, put it up on a branch so it’s safe. If it’s injured, follow the above advice.

WINNER: WHITE FACED SCOPS OWL 77-34

If you like small and cute, but want something a little more complex and perky than your regular little brown owl, you couldn't ask for anything more than all the Saw Whet brings to the party. It is one of the tiniest owls, it comes in a multitude of patterns, it's chubby and round. On top of that, it has all the other things you love that make an owl an owl. Will this bug eyed little angel be able to beat it's challenger today?

Even with it's glasses, the Spectacular Owl couldn't find a e way to stop the White Faced Scops, losing by a large margin. Looking like a shinier and beefier Screech Owl, White Faced Scops always gets compliments on its look. Some find the vintage moustache irresistible, and I don't blame them. It's known for its shape shifting ability which certainly helped in round 1, but can that trick work a second time, or is Saw Whet just too darn cute?

Picture 3 is iconic. Babe looks like fire slizer amirite

I feel it's a good design for a battle mech. Good center of gravity for combat.

Either round little head would look good in that little community icon bubble!

White Faced Scops looks unamused that this is even a fair competition. Take the trophy, little guy.
