Unfortunately I haven't found a way to relativelink to specific posts yet as their IDs change from instance to instance.
Likewise, I haven't found a way to relative link to another instance when putting it in a new posts' URL

Lemmy now also supports !div0@lemmy.dbzer0.com links ![community]@[instance]
which get changed to your home instance automatically
Is that in 0.18.0 already?
I mean is my link linked to you? I just entered the text, no manual linking :D
But lemm.ee is running 0.18.1 is my point
EDIT: oh right, I see what you mean noiw. yes it works!
But you're on lemmy.dbzer0.com is my point :D
yes yes it works, ignore me
Are there any tools that help with this, when relative links haven't been used? Like a browser plugin that would help redirect back to one's own instance?
Or is there a way to hack the url to get to a specific post within a community through one's own instance?
No but I'm sure these tools will start appearing soon
To get a url through your own instance paste the full url in your instance search
They work fine on the browser, but for now relative links don't work in Jerboa. I'd assume they don't work for people connecting through Mastodon or other software either.
ye, looks like plenty of spaces to improve UIs all around. I think we don't particularly need to worry about people browsing from mastodon too much, whereas it's a big improvement when browsing via lemmy.
