Image: one of our POW camps filled with captured soldiers of the Christmas regime.

Season's greetings, fellow godless communists. I'm here to disseminate orders from our Supreme Communist Dictator as we once again find ourselves fighting against the very concept of Christmas. As a reminder, by the end of our five-year plan, we plan to be in a position to attack and dethrone God, but this intermediate step is required to fulfil this directive. Our forces in the field have made significant, if gradual, progress since you received your mission update last year. It has been difficult, but we have developed a series of defensive lines to prepare for a counteroffensive out of Lapland that will try and reach the Gulf of Bothnia in an attempt to cut the land bridge that we have set up across Scandinavia.

Currently, we foresee a few major threats. General Santa Clauswitz has been developing many tools in his workshop, including artillery-launched snowballs, barbed tinsel, and reinforced gingerbread armor plating for his tanks and infantry carriers. President Frostyy has made the following public statement: "The socialists who wish to destroy us have no idea what their defenses are about to face. Democracy will always defeat autocracy. Christmas will always triumph over X-mas. The leaders of the axis facing us are all on the naughty list and will be tried for crimes against festivity once this war is over."

Delusional as this may be, the next couple days will be the most dangerous as they stage their counteroffensive, and we need everybody to pitch in and get into defensive positions. We expect this to be the last major push that they will make before collapse. Please report any Christmas trees, mistletoe, or general symbology of the Christmas regime to your superiors.

Over and out.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

Hah I get the 1000th comment.

Edit: apparently some state rep in Maine got swatted for trying to pull Trump off their ballot lmao.

Edit 2: apparently Russia formed a small Ukrainian volunteers unit supposidly composed of all POWs and placed them under the command structure of the Donetsk People’s Republic Ministry of Internal Affairs to kick ukro-nazi ass and fight for liberation of their homeland.

Edit 3: news from my second motherland south Korea, the military is once again complaining about low birthrates steadily eroding military readiness as numbers of yearly forced conscripts dwindle. There's an estimation they're going to be forced to reduce the size of the active armed forces again but the damn bastards at the high levels of Korean politics are worried that they won't be ready for a possibly tumultuous future. Hey assholes, you can guarantee peace for all of Korea by declaring to be truly neutral should any conflicts occur and kick the American soldiers there out.

Edit 4: sounds like U.S DOD is deploying national guard to Kosovo to try and scare Serbia into line with the EU/NATO policy

Maine’s top election official removes Trump from 2024 primary ballot

Maine’s top election official has removed former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 primary ballot, in a shock decision based on the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban.”

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows paused her decision pending a potential appeal in state court, which Trump’s team said they intend to file.

The decision makes Maine the second state to disqualify Trump from office, after the Colorado Supreme Court handed down its own stunning ruling that removed him from the ballot earlier this month. The development is a significant victory for Trump’s critics, who say they’re trying to enforce a constitutional provision that was designed to protect the country from anti-democratic insurrectionists.

Bellows, a Democrat, issued the decision Thursday after presiding over an administrative hearing earlier this month about Trump’s eligibility for office. A bipartisan group of former state lawmakers filed the challenge against Trump.

“I do not reach this conclusion lightly,” Bellows wrote. “Democracy is sacred … I am mindful that no Secretary of State has ever deprived a presidential candidate of ballot access based on Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment. I am also mindful, however, that no presidential candidate has ever before engaged in insurrection.”

Most legal experts believe the US Supreme Court will settle the issue for the entire country.

Still, the Maine decision builds on the momentum that Trump’s critics have claimed after the Colorado ruling. Before Colorado, several other states, like Michigan and Minnesota, rejected similar efforts.

Ratified after the Civil War, the 14th Amendment says American officials who “engage in” insurrection can’t hold future office. But the provision is vague and doesn’t say how the ban should be enforced.

In a statement Thursday, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung accused Bellows of being a “virulent leftist” who has now “decided to interfere in the presidential election.”

“Democrats in blue states are recklessly and un-Constitutionally suspending the civil rights of the American voters by attempting to summarily remove President Trump’s name from the ballot,” Cheung said.

In her decision, Bellows concluded that she has a legal obligation to adhere to the 14th Amendment’s insurrectionist ban and remove Trump from the primary ballot.

“The oath I swore to uphold the Constitution comes first above all, and my duty under Maine’s election laws … is to ensure that candidates who appear on the primary ballot are qualified for the office they seek,” she said.

Explaining her reasoning, Bellows wrote that the challengers presented compelling evidence that the January 6 insurrection “occurred at the behest of” Trump – and that the US Constitution “does not tolerate an assault on the foundations of our government.”

“The record establishes that Mr. Trump, over the course of several months and culminating on January 6, 2021, used a false narrative of election fraud to inflame his supporters and direct them to the Capitol to prevent certification of the 2020 election and the peaceful transfer of power,” Bellows wrote. “I likewise conclude that Mr. Trump was aware of the likelihood for violence and at least initially supported its use given he both encouraged it with incendiary rhetoric and took no timely action to stop it.”

I do not feel that this is going to end anymore.

I feel that we are stuck, and the only way out is being killed by an Israeli warplane.

Or an Israeli tank.

I will be running for President as a Pro-enclosure candidate. my administration will fight against any and all attempts to disclose what's the federal government knows about UFOs and Non-human intelligence, and make sure all this information stays extremely confidential, prosecuting whistleblowers like David Grusch, while also covertly assassinating various authors and podcast hosts who are too close to the truth.

If anyone else supports covering up the truth, please turn out to my upcoming town hall.

2003 cabinet documents unsealed

The vast majority of government discussions about the war were had within a cabinet subgroup, the National Security Committee, which met regularly and had intelligence from spy agencies including ASIO.

The lack of Iraq-related cabinet record keeping is clear from a minute dated April 1, 2003.

The records from that meeting are only one sentence long: "The Cabinet noted an oral report by the Prime Minister on the progress of military operations in Iraq and the contribution made by the Australian Defence Force."

Ah, well, nevertheless,

Luis Eduardo Martínez: Caricom, Celac and Brazil must urge the immediate withdrawal of HMS Trent from the coast of Guyana

Guyana assures that it does not plan to attack Venezuela: "It is not about waging wars, but about better monitoring our economic zone"

United Kingdom assured to work to "avoid an escalation" between Venezuela and Guyana

A spokesperson urged Venezuela to cease its "unjustified actions" against Guyana and reiterated that the border between both nations was defined in the Paris Arbitration Award in 1899, which is why he insists on his support for Guyana, considered "an important regional ally." and partner of the Commonwealth.

Furthermore, he clarified that the presence of the British Navy ship in Guyanese waters will not dock in Georgetown, but that all its activities are expected to take place at sea "as part of a series of routine maneuvers in the region."

The British are trying to instigate a war in which they won't even take part. Doubt the UK could defend Guyana, hell, I doubt they could defend themselfs.

This was posted by my Phillipine Maoist friend in Redpixel. He linked a whole 55th anniversary statement from the CPP-NPA on twitter, id link it but the account got suspended since lol.

Anyway, it interests me that the CPP-NPA are apparently distancing themselves from Gonzalism. (Especially since twitter maoists justify their Gonzalism with the apparent support for him from global south Maoist parties, lol).

Edit (thanks to AssortedBiscuits): Hamas denies sending a delegation to Egypt

~~Hamas Delegation to Visit Egypt for Peace Plan in Gaza~~

The Egyptian initiative includes renewable ceasefires and the release of hostages in exchange for Palestinians kidnapped by Israel.

On Friday, a delegation from the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas will travel to Egypt to discuss new proposals leading to a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Egypt presented a peace proposal to Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other resistance groups in the Gaza Strip.

The three-stage Egyptian initiative includes renewable ceasefires, the release of hostages held by Hamas in exchange for Palestinians kidnapped by Israel, and a permanent ceasefire.

"The plan aims to gather the views of all parties involved, with the goal of ending Palestinian bloodshed," said Diaa Rashwan, the head of the Egyptian State Information Service (SIS)

The Egyptian proposal also involves the formation of a Palestinian technocratic government after talks involving all sectors to govern and rebuild the Gaza Strip after a permanent cessation of hostilities.

Rashwan also emphasized that everything related to the issue of the Palestinian government concerns only Palestinians.

Since Israel imposed a total blockade on Gaza, the inhabitants of this Palestinian territory have suffered from a lack of food, water, fuel, and medicine, occasionally relieved by humanitarian convoys entering primarily from Egypt.

Man allegedly impersonated soldier, entered Gaza, stole weapons, posed with Netanyahu (Times of Israel)

spoilerA Tel Aviv resident was charged Sunday with stealing military and police weapons, apparently taking advantage of the chaos after Hamas’s deadly October 7 attack on Israeli communities along the Gaza border, with the intent to sell them on the black market.

Hebrew media outlets reported that the suspect, Roi Yifrach, was even photographed with both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant at assembly areas in the south between October 7 and his arrest on December 17, while apparently using fake identities to pose as a combat soldier.

According to the indictment served in, the Tel Aviv District Court, Yifrach, 35, never served in the Israeli military but nonetheless managed to make his way into the war zones. He was accused of stealing arms and equipment while fraudulently posing as a policeman, an officer in the elite Yamam counterterrorism unit, and a Shin Bet operative, in the weeks after October 7.

...

Yifrach’s lawyer Eitan Segev asserted that he had volunteered to join the war effort after killing Hamas gunmen on October 7 with his own licensed weapon.

Segev was quoted by Channel 12 news as saying Yifrach had arrived independently to Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7, when some 3,000 terrorists burst across the border into Israel from the Gaza Strip by land, air and sea, killing some 1,200 people and seizing over 240 hostages in border communities amid horrific acts of brutality.

“After that he joined an elite combat unit inside Gaza and fought Hamas terrorists face-to-face, with IDF approval, with military equipment provided to him by the IDF,” Segev was quoted by Channel 12 news as saying. “Absurdly, the State of Israel, which failed to protect its citizens, is now going after a citizen, my client, who volunteered for Israel.”

According to the indictment, Yifrach was in Gaza for a number of weeks, during which time he stole equipment including an IDF assault rifle, two smoke grenades, 14 stun grenades, a police-issued pistol, dozens of rounds of ammunition and three detonators, a drone, helmets, communications equipment and more.

Police searched his house after being tipped off, and found stolen equipment in his house, in his mother’s house, and in his car.

Four other suspects were detained for questioning in the raid, including a police officer. The four were released to house arrest after being investigated and the police officer was suspended from duty.

Theft of guns has long been a problem for the military. According to data released by the Knesset in 2020, there are some 400,000 illegal weapons circulating in Israel, the vast majority believed to have been stolen from the army and police force.

When your military is such a joke that some guy with no military experience can fake it in your war zone for weeks without being caught. Also, the half million guns stolen from the army and police are amazing.

Finland is a bilingual country with roughly five percent of the population having Swedish rather than Finnish as their native language. Following the Swedish conquest of Finland in a series of medieval crusades, Swedish settlers moved to Finland and founded farming and fishing communities in coastal regions. Swedish used to be the language of the nobility and intellectuals and although the overwhelming majority of Finland-Swedes were peasants and fisherman just like the Finns to this day Finland-Swedes are associated with "old money" and the landed gentry.

Russia conquered Finland in 1809 and during the 19th century Russian authorities supported Finnish nationalism to minimise Swedish influence. Industrialization and the growth of cities during the same period of time also meant that cities like Helsinki which had previously had a Swedish majority became fennicized due to the influx of Finnish-speakers from rural areas. Finland-Swedes did not seem to have any significant desire for "reunification" with Swedish and during the 19th century many Finland-Swedish intellectuals made a deliberate decision to fennicize as part of the nationalist movement.

In traditional peasant society people married partners from their own villages and intermarriage between Swedish-speakers and Finnish-speakers was rare but as demographics changed with urbanisation and industrialisation, intermarriage has become common. During the 20th century intermediate often resulted in children becoming Finnish-speakers although this trend has reversed in recent years with parents of bilingual families registering their children as Swedish-spekers due to perceived benefits in professional life of being fluent in both languages.

After Lenin granted Finland independence, the Finland-Swedish movement opted for bilingualism and cultural protection rather than self-government and this policy continues to this day. Finland-Swedes has their own diocese of Finland's Lutheran state church and municipalities with a linguistic minority of more than eight percent are legally required to be able to communicate with citizens in both languages and signage and toponyms will be bilingual. In schools students are instructed in their native language and are taught the "other national language" as well. In higher education students are required to pass at least one exam in the "other national language".

350% increase in gas prices (Spanish Only)

Gas distributors in Argentina have asked Enargas, the government company responsible for regulating the gas sector, to raise tariffs by AT LEAST 350%, starting in February 2024.

According to the distributors, the increase is necessary due to rising production costs, among other factors.

They have also asked for an annual updating mechanism, for adjustments in line with inflation.

The companies submitted to Enargas their proposed increases for the hearing to be held on January 8. They also requested an automatic updating mechanism based on wholesale inflation.

The gas distribution companies, those that deliver the fluid to homes and businesses, stated to the Government that they will need a tariff increase as from February of at least 350% in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) and even higher figures in the interior of the country, depending on which company is involved among those operating throughout the national territory. The figures were submitted to Enargas and will be part of the public hearing that will take place on January 8 to determine how the unfreezing of the bills, whose last increase took place at the beginning of the year, will be applied.

The public hearing process includes a previous step that has to do with documents that the gas distributors send to the area authority (Enargas) with their own estimates of necessary tariff increases according to the accumulated cost criteria, which have not been updated in the last months. In these documents, the companies stated what is the scenario for each one of them.

For Metrogas, for example, which distributes the fluid in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), the increase should be higher than 375 percent. "By virtue of this, after the more than four (4) years that its distribution tariff remained frozen (...) taking as a base the index of February 2018 versus the same index as of November 2023 and estimating the cost increase for the month of December 2023 according to the REM of the Central Bank of 19.95%, and obviously discounting those increases already granted between such periods (...) In this way, the calculation of the adjustment mentioned above represents a peak to peak increase of 376.52%", mentioned that company.

In terms of amounts, the fixed charge for Metrogas users requested to Enargas as from February is a minimum of $4,318 in the Federal Capital and $4,335 in Buenos Aires (users with lower consumption) for the three segmentation levels (N1, the highest income, N3 the lowest income and N2, middle income). For the highest consumption bracket the fixed charge is $19,333 (CABA) and $19,357 (PBA). This does not automatically translate to the final price to the user as it will depend on other price components in the bill, such as generation and transportation. Or even the tax payment portion.

On the other hand, Naturgy, which operates in the Province of Buenos Aires, requested Enargas "to consider a tariff adjustment following the calculation criteria previously mentioned, to be applied as from January 2024; It also requested an urgent transitory adjustment of the tariff to be applied as from October 2023, given the significant increases in the costs of providing the service, which generated a significant reduction in the income of the tariffs in force since April 29, given that the sustained price increases intensified in magnitude notably, as from May 2023".
