Fucking stupid. Grid hookup should be a. Cost incurred by the utility. We give them the energy we don't use to sell to other customers, and reduce their need for larger infrastructure.

it's double tapping on the same action. the sold energy and the connection to the grid. literally profit by gov mandate. no free market here whatsoever.
