Not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand it's always good to get best on best international hockey. On the other hand I kinda feel like wedging a tournament into a weekend takes the shine off somewhat?

Really feels like the NHL trying to cash in on what people wanted from the Olympics without having to split the take.

EDIT:

Looks like they also announced participation in the 2026+2030 Olympics. Color me surprised. Looks like betting on the NHL's cynicism didn't pay this time.
