I didn't receive a tracking number or anything so it was a wonderful surprise to see the new Kingdom Death: Monster expansion arrived today! This is a lot to unpack, time to get ready for some mental trauma.

Welp looks like you're busy for the foreseeable future. KDM minis at the very least won't get boring from what I've seen.

Just got mine in on Saturday. Boxed up pretty well with boxes inside of boxes inside of more boxes and enough silica gel packets to last a lifetime. It’ll take me awhile to even get to organizing everything, let alone assembling the minis and then even playing. So much new stuff to get through.

I’m hoping to be able to spread all the cards/components I’ve accumulated thus far between the Core box and the Gambler’s Chest, as I’ve been using the 1.5 to hold additional expansion monsters, but not sure how much space will be left over after cards are sleeved. Most people think the “Monster” in KDM refers to the monsters themselves that you fight against, it’s not, it’s the game itself, the game is the Monster.

For all the horror that I was ready to grapple with, however, i an starting at that with a whole different sort of dread:
