Giving ≈ "has the same vibe as"
Why can’t you just say it “has the same vibe as” then. Giving already has a definition.
Slang changes over time
That’s not slang, it’s just bad English. “Vibe” is slang. You’re leaving out 90% of the sentence and communicating nothing with “giving”.
