Behold... ... ... The Vibe Fixer!

That worked! Thanks so much!

Not pedantic. The specificity, imo, is extremely important here, and the poor phrasing really bothered me, too.

Male to male aux, if your car has aux input. Maybe aux to fm (like this), so you can connect ipod to the transmitter, then set the car's radio to the same frequency.

I lost access to that account shortly after I moved to the iphone 5s, but, yeah, that would have worked :/

Your requirements 3 and 4 kind of filter out most modern phones from the past 5+ years. Brax Phone is modern and has most of your desires (except for the ROM support, but the phone is open hardware, supposedly). Besides that, I do love Xperias, though they're dated. I am not a fan of Samsung at all, with their annoying Bixby and updates that break the device and locked down bootloader. I'm rocking a Pixel, personally, but it's because I needed a more modern phone for my use case that can handle GrapheneOS or CalyxOS (though I would absolutely love headphone jack and SD slot, which it doesn't have).

Edit: spelling errors

Precisely why I use as open hardware as I can, which isn't much in the world of phones : (

Yes. I flippin HATE that "feature". I own you. You do what I tell you!

Found a kindle something or other and a Paperwhite gen 1 for approx. 5 USD. They both remain offline 100% of the time, and they work flawlessly for sideloaded epubs. The Paperwhite even came with some preloaded books (not in my interest genres, but still cool for approx. 5 USD).

there's no way for anyone, including X, to read your messages.

That defeats the purpose of a messaging platform.

I know what they meant, but the phrasing is so, so stupid. Anyone who is considering this platform, should think twice before doing so. If they get the phrasing of such a simple sentiment this, incoherently wrong, what does their code look like and what do the encryption protocols look like? If I'd have to guess... AI slop.

Not sure why you're getting those. None of mine are msn icons.

So, what you're saying, is that those devices are the epitome of cute? Cool. OP, mark it as solved.
