our quest 2 nearly suffered the same fate,idk who in their right mind would design something this way from the start if battery<10:only boot when user holds power button for more then 30 seconds
EasyDNS now needs KYC and age verification to buy a domain,so thats a no go for me
I really hate these shitty 'setup a store front in seconds' sites,if you have something worth selling,put some time into the site,make it look good,don't use a bloated half baked site from a 3rd party,and let them take a cut of your profits

agreed personally I'd pay extra to avoid all the failure modes a custom os brings I've had quests brick them selves for no reason other then some weird software problem I'd much rather have a dumb wired headset then one that runs a bloated buggy install of linux or android all of the once in a decade edge case of maaaybe playing a game on it when my pc's down
