So they look back at the good old days before any of this was a concern to Westerners. Afaik in the app there isn't. I think the actual photo data bytes do get deleted but some other crap generated from the ML models ran on them stay. Databases are also constantly replicated and snapshotted multiple times for all Google services and I have no idea how long those last either
