Salary depends heavily on where the worker is located, not so much the employer. American companies don't pay overseas workers as much as they pay American workers.

I think you misinterpreted the tone of my posts, they weren't meant to be spiteful or imply that you're advocating for anything bad. I was just trying to point out that sometimes it's easier to avoid conflict, even if you feel your actions are justified.

Have a nice day.

I know how credit bureaus work. How often are you doing this that you're able to find the forms, fill them out, and submit them all within seconds? Not to mention logging in to your accounts...

Even if you're doing this all the time, it will still take longer than resetting the AC unit before you leave. I don't know why some people seem to seek out conflicts...

OK, but my point was that the hotel will have washed their hands of your debt by the time it's at a collections agency. How much time does it take you to dispute a collection note on your credit report? I'd guess it takes less time to take the AC unit out of service mode before you check out.

and see if they really want to waste their time with collections

It would be the collections agency who's time would be spent in court, not the hotel's. And collection agencies are in the business of collecting debt, so I don't think they would see it as a waste of time.

Based on its name, I have to assume the EU Data Act only applies in the EU. So this will still be an issue for anyone who doesn't live in the EU.

They're saying it helps badly roasted/brewed coffee, not that it's the proper way to make coffee.

Have you seen what he posts on Twitter?

Why do you think they're on the edge of poverty? That's the most racist part of your post, IMO.

A deadbolt is great, but it's easier to break a window than pick even a bad lock. If you don't live in a neighborhood where everyone has bars over their windows, you probably don't need to keep your deadbolt locked all the time.

A deadbolt is more secure than the lock on the doorknob, but both can be picked or broken. Lots of homes have both locks on the front door, and in a lot of areas just the doorknob lock is secure enough if you're leaving for a couple hours in the middle of the day.

That's not a gap, you were working for the startup. Even if the company never put a product on the market, you were still working. Doesn't matter if your didn't even form an LLC. You should put it on your resume and proudly describe the work your did and challenges you faced when anyone asks about it.

Hey everyone, I'm new to photography and wondering how much people spend on lenses compared to the camera body they're mounted on? Does it make sense to buy a higher end lens for a mid range camera, or would you be better off getting a slightly cheaper lens and spending some of the money on a nicer camera? Mainly wondering about used gear...

Currently shooting with my SO's D3500 when she isn't using it, and thinking of buying my own. Considering a used Pentax since weather resistant lenses seem easier to find for them than other brands...

Edit: how practical is it to use a Pentax lens on a Nikon with an adapter, and vice versa? I assume the electronics like AF and VR won't work?

I'm printing with PLA on a "PEO" print bed (really a textured PEI), on my heavily modified ender 3, and there's a pattern on the bottom of my first layer that I'm trying to get rid of. The top of the first layer looks fine, and changing the z offset in either direction doesn't help. I've also tried slowing down the print speed because I thought the extruder might be skipping, but I'm still seeing it at 10mm/s. Any idea what could be causing it, and how to get rid of it?

Edit: the first layer went down from the bottom left to the top right, but the pattern I'm seeing is perpendicular to the extruder path
