Turn off 6:00am alarm.

Turn off 6:30am alarm.

Turn off 6:45am alarm.

Turn off 6:58am alarm and panic run to my computer and join a 7am meeting that is just 30 people re-stating the title of their Jira tasks that we can all see being shared by the voluntold person.

Lay back down until my 8:30am alarm.

Coffee. Eggs or some other form of protein. Some medium of salt/fat like toast with butter or potato chips or crackers with cheese.

I really hope a couple of them just let some files flow through and they make the leak.

That America is the land of the free.

That the American dream is a thing.

That I might not be getting a raise now at work, but I would be getting a substantial one mid-year. I did not get anything at all. I left that job 2.5mos later.

That my ex was happy in our relationship - she broke up with me a week later with a laundry list of grievances.

That my coworker had been in a car accident and couldn't make it to work - turns out no car accident, they just spent the week day drinking. Kind of insane because we had unlimited PTO...they could have just requested time off. They stupidly got caught because of social media posts.

I've been a naturalized citizen of the US for 99% of my life.

I am fully expecting that within the next year or so I'll lose my naturalization. Not because of a criminal record (I have none), but because I'm not white enough.

I am currently looking at applying for a work visa in Canada with longer term plans to move to the EU. Frankly, any and all "plan b" ideas I'm looking into.

Sucks because I have to uproot my family, too. They are white. I still don't know if they fully comprehend what it is like day to day.

Like, I was just going grocery shopping the other day and had an unmarked van behind me for what felt like an awkwardly long time. I immediately started formulating escape plans. I drove an extra long route to the store just to make sure I wasn't being followed. Once I parked I sat in my car an extra few minutes to observe if any other suspicious vehicles also parked and if anybody got out. I made sure to message my wife that I parked, that I was on my way into the store, that I was 25%/50%/75% done getting items, that I was checking out, that I was back in the car and headed home.

These are not thoughts I should have to have. It sucks.

I'm also armed, but let's be honest, I can probably only take 1-2 gestapo out before I'm done for and there'd be no getting away with it long-term.

Oregon here, it has seemed oddly humid feeling to me personally. I'm super sensitive to humidity and heat though.

It isn't like the south, but definitely more than I recall historically.

It rained today randomly so that doesn't help either.

Hello also from the Portland-ish area. Thanks for all you do.

This is not how I wanted to start my week.

We didn't learn to read music (I learned from separate piano lessons...)

They just had diagrams of where to put your fingers and then the letters of the note, not actual notes on a clef...

Holy shit. I'm going to have to pay attention to the next time I print a bunch and headaches...I'm beginning to think there might be a correlation that you just solved for me.
