Yeah when I went down a terminal config rabbit hole I landed on JetBrains Mono with all the nerd font symbols. Can’t really provide a particular reason I like it over many other fonts, but I just do.

EDIT: I realize I didn’t really interpret the question correctly on my initial read. This is meant more for old games, not sleeper online games that are just good in their own right without being live service. Perhaps a more fitting answer would be AssaultCube. One of the first multiplayer FPS games I played. There probably aren’t any official servers anymore, but community hosted ones were supported, so I’m sure it’s still around.

Straftat. Free to play, fast paced, 1v1 movement shooter. It’s a wildly under appreciated game that would hugely benefit from a small to medium sized, consistent player base. It does have a paid dlc, that mostly functions as a tip for the dev. The DLC has some cosmetics and a few maps, but it’s not really gatekeeping any of the fun of the game, plus it’s only $5 USD so I just bought it and considered it the price of the game.

Came here to say the same. I loved that thing. The little “hidden” passage for the boulder drop trap. That thing was awesome!

@ILoveDurians@lemmy.cafe you don’t know me, but I saw your post about a drawing you did immediately after stumbling on this post. It’s seems like fate…

Okay, purely from the meme I feel this!! Like there’s the quote “science, when sufficiently advanced, will be indistinguishable from magic”. As a kid I thought I would get to experience that! Then I tried to be an engineer and it wasn’t that at all. So I became an artist and it felt close. Then I realized I was trans. Transition has given me more moments where I feel magical than everything else. I’ve become the witch I always wanted to be!!!

EDIT: I should add I have not played Disco Elysium, but I know it is highly acclaimed. It’s on my list.

Remember to always pick the lesser of two weevils!

It’s sort of the femme version of my given name. There’s a lot of history in my family with that name that I do appreciate and value and want to feel connected to. I did a bunch of research into the names and language of where my family originated and found my new name and instantly fell in love with it. I remember sobbing after writing it down for the first time.

Thanks for reminding me! Gotta take my evening dose!

You could maybe setup a SMB share targeting your download location, mount that on the computer you’d like to install on, then point the setup.exe at the SMB share for the bin files.

Yeah. I rock climb as my job basically, and my finger health is in the bin most of the time…

My disaster ended about a year ago, just starting to feel like I should find another…

Sticker design I made for y’all

I don't play the game anymore, but I'm feeling a touch nostalgic. Let me hear your wildest callouts and I'll see if I can figure out the activity and mechanic. I haven't played since Salvation's Edge week one, so maybe limit it to all D2 raids and dungeons pre that, but I'm down to hear about what's currently going on in the game too! I've included a high contrast set of icons I made for easy pattern recognition in Vow, we also used it a bit like a bingo card trying to fill it in with silly callouts and use them for a run.

I’m moving/moved and got a chance to rearrange my bookshelf. Very happy with how it looks. Happy to discuss any titles that catch your eye!

I’ve got a bit of a back log to post, but I figured I would start strong with one of my better sourdough bakes.

Hello!

I'm Arkhive (they/she), one of your new mods and I've just got a sort of update from the mod team.

We, the mods of Onehundredninetysix (hereby referred to as OneNineSix for my own sanity), would like to introduce ourselves. The members of the mod team that are interested will post a comment below this post and hopefully mingle a bit. Something that has come up in our discussions is a general interest in owning our actions, even in online spaces. That means putting people behind the names you see in the sidebar.

As the OneNineSix community coalesces, things have been quite good from our end. While we could be quicker at processing reports, a lot of that stems from us discussing choices as a group before making final decisions...and probably a bit more fear to use our power than is good for us, but time I'm sure will fix that proceeds to power trip. We are absolutely not infallible, and we also strive to admit wrong when necessary and work to rectify it. There is a degree of patience that necessarily extends both directions between mods and users, and in the end we are all users of the same space. We will work to be good stewards of this space for all those being good stewards with us.

And so! This thread. If this idea goes over poorly, please take it out in the replies to my comment, and we will assess and hopefully the other mods will dive in on the discussion too. We have also floated the idea of an irregularly occurring, semi-regular, mod chat thread. My pitch is for "Modly Mondays" but its still an idea in its infancy and feedback is welcome;)

Thank you for your time, thank you for the memes (the cat included), and I'll ~~remove~~ see you ~~from~~ in the comments.

TL;DR I'm Arkhive (they/she), I'm a mod, there's more of us (surprise!), and we'd like to introduce ourselves in the comments.

Side note: I realize this is being posted on a day there are protests happening across the US and presumably throughout the world. While this is not an explicitly US comm, I want to remind people to stay safe. Know your rights, know the ACLU phone number, have an exit plan, go as a group, and don't talk to cops. We keep us safe.

Login Issues? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

UPDATE: The issue seems to have resolved itself. Wonder if it was just a high traffic moment with the new release or something.

I just convinced some friends to try the game and the purchase part went smoothly, but then logging in to download did not work. Just gave a blank error message. I then tried logging in with my account and got the same thing. Then tried the password reset page and also got a blank error code there. Anyone have any ideas?
