That's actually really good to hear! Hopefully less people are left behind because of the dumb way we would teach things.

I'm sort of like this especially when it comes to math, but mostly because my memory is shit.

I can't just memorize a formula, I need to know how something works and then I can work out what i need to do. The "understanding" is what triggers the memory to stick, not the need to remember "you need to use x+y-65bm(y+ba)/gap+5-13 when you have a problem involving bears." I'll never just remember that. I basically always barely passed my math classes in highschool...

So I never studied science and never followed my passions and am now in a factory lol stupid memory...

A large boulder the size a large elephant reduced in size to that of a smaller boulder, then multiplied and glued together would be more concise, are they even trying?!

Just in case the original wasn't clear enough:

The photons both live in a pineapple and are under the sea at the same time unless you observe it, then the crabbypatty waveform collapses.

Or God is also evil. Who says God needs to be nice?

Not that I believe one exists.

"Enforcing a contempt citation means fining or jailing the Trump lawyers who argue before them, and possibly invoking contempt all the way up the line to Trump."

Annnnnnnd pardoned.

In other words, there's literally nothing the courts can do already so why do they even need to go as far as they are with restricting funds? So it's not made as public as a pardon would be?

This is not a legitimate disorder, this is Republican politicians pushing for what they've been calling "Trump derangement syndrome" to become a "real" disorder. With RFK jr talking about bringing back asylums for the mentally disabled, I'm pretty sure I'm not being too conspiratorial in thinking this will be the factor that "legitimizes" incarcerating those who speak out about how awful Trump is...

Ahhh the Wii... I'm always reminded of a story I have about playing Wii sports. I had just gotten the Wii fairly recently and played the shit out of Wii sports, I would really get into swinging like I was actually trying to hit something. I worked at a restaurant at the time and was standing by the door to the kitchen talking to a coworker about how I couldn't believe how sore I got myself and just as my manager is walking out from the kitchen I say "even my ass is sore!" and the manager just gives me this look like "wtf!?"

Ahh the Wii. Fun times. Lol

And since the plane gets transferred to Trump's actual ownership after his term, Trump gets a free $2billion plane..

But he’s also toxically greedy and self-absorbed and wantonly destructive,

Which is why I really hope he turns X against the Trump regime lol God I hope he's petty enough to attack them now

That's not how it went down, the Republicans complained Obama would just pick a far left activist judge and specifically called out Merrick Garland as a "reasonable moderate" candidate that he should choose, so he did. Obama didn't have the votes in the Senate to have whoever he wanted so he called the Republicans bluff, picked Garland, and then Mitch McDemonturtle started his "it's an election year" song and dance as cover for why they weren't going to allow a vote. Mitch was the Senate majority leader so he had control over what the Senate did as far as what votes were allowed to be taken up. There wasn't anything Obama could do but nominate someone, then it's up to the Senate to confirm.

Just as Trump got his pick because Mitch McDemonturtle has no fucking morals, he was still in charge of the Senate at that time and so even though the 2020 election was in progress he forced a vote asap so they got their pick... They're such hypocritical pricks

25 minute exposure of NGC 2264 taken with a seestar s50. Testing the new denoise function added in the most resent seestar firmware update.

No further post processing so colors seem to be a bit off as a result of the denoise feature, but otherwise an amazing result as most images from the seestar s50 contain a lot of RGB noise!

Hey Lemmy! Time to do some digging!

I was sent a link from a friend about some Totally Cool™ guy who has close ties to JD Vance: Curtis Yarvin. Anyone aware of this guy and his desires? I won't put the link in here as my last post was removed because of it, but a comment within the thread is copied below.

Apparently Japanese media covered the story as was posted to Reddit, but there doesn't seem to be too much talk of this in the US.

From a comment in the reddit discussion: “Curtis Yarvin is a far-right ‘intellectual’ that wants to end democracy and install what I can only really describe as cyberpunk feudalism. He’s suggested turning the United States into a patchwork of corporate fiefdoms ruled with absolute impunity by CEOs, as well as putting mandatory ankle monitors on all unemployed and poor people. This sounds like a joke, but I’m serious. JD Vance is not just a fan of him intellectually, but also a personal friend. As someone who has known about Yarvin for several years, it’s been really concerning seeing how he could potentially become a Rasputin-like figure in the event of a Trump victory. Beyond this, Yarvin has also spent many years advocating for what sounds eerily like Project 2025.”

For those familiar with Star Citizen lore, he apparently wants to turn the US into the Stanton system “lol” …
