Yup this is me right now. I work with an amazing team and was really liking my job for the past three years. Then 2 months ago we got a new Associate Director who immediately set herself to bullying, denigrating, and tearing apart everything and everyone. I'm currently waiting to see which comes first; I get fired or I quit.

It's a lap blanket for donation. I think the group I send stuff too sends them out to shelters and nursing homes. I just like having a good outlet for keeping my hands busy.

Finally finished all 81 granny squares for this 40x40 inch blanket. I think I'm going to regret my choices once I start joining them.

I am not disabled but my husband is. We've gone through many psychiatric reviews together to get and maintain his disability status. I will tell you that it doesn't get easier being under the microscope. It is natural to have feelings of guilt and want to be defensive when you're faced with the realization that you're not considered "normal." I absolutely hate going to these reviews because they always make both of us feel like we aren't doing enough to be normal. But the at last review we went to the psychiatrist was amazing and when we both started shutting down during the interview she told us that it's okay; we're not normal but we are coping in a very healthy way. She commended us for our efforts, our routines, and our strong relationship. And that little bit of recognition really really helped. So yes you might be down now after reading what your friends wrote and discovering some new things you didn't know, but I would definitely suggest that you take a personal inventory of all the things you are doing to live your best life right now. Don't sell yourself short.

For me personally it wasn't the name calling that irked me. Trump is a crass piece of shit and honestly I expect nothing less from his behavior. What's really irritating me is him and all the other Maga circus freaks aggressivly pointing their fingers in people's faces. It's such a small, "white man" form of micro aggression that aims to make the target feel inferior. And for some fucking reason it works psychologically because whenever I see one of them do it I immediately want to start throwing hands.

Obligatory fuck Liberty University. Absolute sham of a college and blight on Virginia.

I really like the phrase "in my zone" much better than "resting bitch face." Thanks Internet stranger.

These people think that because they're white and Trump is white that Trump is talking to them and not about them.

This is fairly meaningful for Virginia. There are only a few blue islands (major cities) in the state and last night we saw Dems sweeping votes in very red traditional Republican areas. I was looking at the maps last night astounded. Virginia is an old time type of prude/conservative but the fact that we also hold a lot of federal jobs played into this sweep in my opinion. People here are very pissed off and the younger folks really turned out.

I finished Date Everything a few months ago and there were so many interactions in there that got genuine laughs out of me. The last time I laughed that hard at a game was the ending to Untitled Goose Game.

I've been wondering what they heck this was. I use a Logitech mouse at work and this popup is the bane of my existence. Our workstations are locked out for software downloads but I also can't get rid of the damn popup.

I love that she has a tail in the last panel. Call it the "stinger" of the joke. (Sorry don't hate me)

Saw this nice guy/gal in front of my shed this morning when I took the dog out. The dog was completely oblivious and I was able to get a nice pic without scaring it off.

I was curious if anyone knows anything about the large delay for content coming in from lemmy.world? There's a discussion over there in one of fediverse communities and apparently we're like a week behind in receiving data.

It's a sad day (magic.wizards.com)

Here's another old picture from my vault. This is one of our Greenbottle blue tarantulas (Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens). We spent the day watching this little guy molt from start to finish and took pictures of the whole process. You can see in this picture that he is laid out on his back on his molting malt. At this stage he has split from the carapace lengthwise down the sides and is currently pulling his legs out of the molt. We had two at the time and wanted to breed them but they both turned out to males.

Playing a game of magic with my husband at the table and look over to see Bert giving us side-eye. Bert prefers dance parties over card games.

Here's a pic of my favorite little guy and one the only good pictures I've ever taken. Unfortunately he turned out to be a male so I didn't have him too long but he was a great tarantula to keep.

I don't know how many of you follow Mr Max on YouTube. There are many videos of him throwing tantrums about going to the vet. A new video just came out and we finally get to see what all the fuss is about!
