What are we supposed to do instead? Hug and kiss her for flubbing what should have been an easy election?

What has Kamala said or done in the last 9 months to fight the fascist regime? Has she called for people to get on the streets and protest or called for a general strike? No, shes done fuck all except write a book full of excuses for losing from her Bel Air mansion. And you're over here defending it, its pathetic.

The pro-Palestine movement is protesting against the Trump administration almost every day. Just because Democrats are one degree better doesn't mean they get a pass for supporting the modern-day Holocaust for 16 months and handing the country on a silver platter to Trump.

Every Democrat who played a part in propping up the inanimate corpse of Biden and supported the genocide in 2024 need to be run out of politics and reminded of their miserable fucking FAILURE to stop fascism for the rest of their lives.

If this lady can't even commit to stopping a genocide, then what makes you all think she would have saved democracy? Whenever I see her speak I think of the scene from Breaking Bad: you are not the guy!

Support to these workers striking - Mark Carney promised he wouldn't do austerity like Pollievre and hes blatantly breaking that promise with funding cuts for Canada Post. If there's a crisis at Canada Post its because they need to be funded, not have working hours cut in the name of austerity.

+972 Magazine (an Israeli anti-genocide publication) and Drop Site News actually were the first ones to break the story.

Jolla Sailfish OS. Can buy a phone from them preinstalled, or flash certain Sony Xperia devices with the OS. Runs smooth as butter and has 2+ day long battery life according to owners. Its based on the old MeeGo project from Nokia back in the day and is based on Debian.

If you want something more Linux-like then the FLX1 is it. It runs very close to stock Debian Stable with Posh as the UI, but it runs some Android code underneath for device drivers, so its not a "pure" Linux system, but it's a very good experience and still not controlled by Google.

I wouldnt recommend Fairphone if you want to do Linux stuff with it, it's a perfect AOSP or LineageOS device though.

OP if you haven't had it, you've got to try Indomie. It's like ramen noodles but so tasty and savoury.

I live in a wildly overpriced studio apartment. I would jump at the chance to move into a concrete block apartment with no AC and limited hot water if it took $500 off my monthly rent.

I mean I agree that Vancouver is maybe one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but it's also one of the most expensive!

I'll take anything that's a move in the right direction at this point. Gaza is the modern-day Holocaust and anything that moves the needle to make the killing stop is a good thing.

We need this in North America if we ever want to solve the housing crisis tbh. I'm talking Soviet-style, grey concrete commieblocks. Yes the buildings are ugly, probably lack amenities, cheaply constructed and not well maintained, but we desperately need cheap, dense housing if we're going to bring down the costs. Building more luxury Manhattan condos and suburban single family abominations does nothing to bring down housing prices.
