The article literally talks about how Starmer's attempta at courting racists is backfiring on him

[–] BakerBagel@midwest.social 7 points 14 hours ago

What you fail to understand is that capitalism is the most efficient way to distribute resources. This is simply the will of the market

Maybe tou should read the article and understand why people are drawn to Reform. Starmer is just trying to be Farage light, so it's no wonder nobody likes him.

No, but it is indicative of what leftists have been trying to tell liberals for the last 12 years. The current system is hurting working people more than any point since WW2, and everyone with eyes can see it. The fascists are telling people that the system is fucked because of immigrants, the left is telling people that it's the capitalist class that is hording all the wealth, while the liberals are saying that everything is working as intended. Labour is going through the same issue that every other liberal party across the west is dealing with. No one trusts them because they are trying to implement rainbow capitalism and slap a fresh coat of paint over the institutional rot that is destroying people's lives rather than make fundamental changes to society.

Jezzer wanted to make the necessary changes to improve life for working Brits, and Labour dragged him over the coals for it. Look at Scunthorpe for example. Starmwr is going on about some liberal nonsense about finding an appropriate buyer for the steel plant, while Farage is calling for the facility to be nationalized. One of those options ensures that people in a critical industry have a job, and it isn't the option the Prime Minister is advocating for

Mine has been yelling at me about going outside, so ii have been taking her out with me on a harness when i smoke. She's been curious, and a bit overwhelmed, but I don't think i could let her out on her own in the town. There are so many cats here that would tear her apart aonce she is so small.

I ask Todd at the rhe bus stop what he thought and he said he could easily defeat a gorilla single handedly.

She was my rescue last year. She wasn't even 2lbs when someone dumped her in the lobby of my job last year. She's my wild child while the tabby is a spoiled princess. They are both sweet as can be

They didn't like the thunder one bit this afternoon when i got home. But the thunder has stopped, the rain has let up, and we are settling in for a cozy night.

We have a lot of stray cats on my block, and i saw one that i call Boots staring at me, shaking his little white boot at me while i was having a smoke, letting me know he was hurt. I was so heartbroken and thought of my little girls, so I brought him a whole can of food. There are plenty of safe spaces around here, so hopefully he can find a place to lay low and heal.

They have had black people in France for hundreds of years. There could absolutely be a black goofy french detective, just hire someone from France to do it.

Try Emerson Lake and Palmer. A lot of Emerson's keyboard playing was inspired by English hymnal music.

My dad gave me a CD copy of it for my 15th birthday and i was immediately obsessed with it. I was listening to it and 2112 on the bus once a week, playing it on my stereo in my room, asking my dad if we could listen to it on road trips, all of it. I found this first edition copy alongside a first edition of Wish You Were Here up in town a couple years ago and absolutely love it. Both are in great condition and sound absolutely beautiful, and i usually only break them out for special occasions since i ball up and cry whenever i listen to either.

She had the record wrapped up for me to open, and the pack of smokes right on top. gotta say that i have the best of friends out in Cleveland. This wasn't the first time this year someone had a brand new record waiting for me when I arrived out there.

I went in with mich to specific of goals this time around, and when i finally decided to just browse and dig, i managed to find some stuff i had been looking for, mainly Switched on Bach. I hate 80's music, but absolutely love the Bangles and am excited to listen to that, and anyone who has seen my collection knows, i love me some Peter Gabriel Genesis.

I had Niniane (the tabby) for about two weeks before someone dumped Boudica, my tortie, in the lobby at the restaurant i worked at. Best i could tell, Nini was about 2-4 weeks older and they immediately became inseperable. I am so fortunate to have two cats that love each other and are so sweet and sociable with absolutely everyone. I'll watch them cycle between intense makeout sessions grooming each other, to zooming after each other acrtthe apartment, to full on WWE Smackdown events throwing each other to the floor.

It's been a hell of adventure for me this week so I wanted to wind down today and bake some granola. Step one for good baking is smoking a think doobie, and step two is putting on some classical music. My collection of classical records is still quite limited, so i reach for random Beethoven symphonies from this box set when i have listened to everything else recently.

Pastoral is one of Beethoven's lesser known symphonies as it's calm and serene melodies are overshadowed by the sheer might of his 5th symphony and euphoria of the 9th. But it's still a lovely piece especially if you live in a rural town like i do.

Just the coolest album ever! Miles's cover of Down By The River is what introduced me to this album. I don't know if I have ever listened to an album where the singer gives off such a sexy and confident vibe. An almost defiant nonchalance pervades over this album that i completely love.

I always put classical music on when i bake, and i have been doing some serious baking this weekend. I've been working on rhubarb and walnut loaves since rhubarb is growing everywhere right now.

Anyway, i picked up this box set of all of Beethoven's symphony about 6 months ago and i love it. Beethoven's 5th and 9th symphonies understandably get all the love, but Eorica is absolutely magnificent. Originally called "Napoleon", Beethoven intendit as a praise to Napoleon's military prowress and commitment to the French Revolution, but quickly changed the name and 4th movement after Napoleon declared himself Emperor of France. I've been obsessed with the Napoleonic wars for the past couple years after i started reading my dad's old Hornblower books, so i spent my afternoon baking rhubarb and thinking about Napoleon.

I have been picking up a classical record every time i visit a shop to fill out my collection. Box sets like this are great because i get hours and hours of music for maybe $20, or i can get favorites of mine such as Holst's The Planets or the 1812 Overture for a couple bucks. I am currently hoping to find the complete Nutcracker suite for when i do my Christmas cookies this year.

I picked this up at an awesome record shop in Akron this weekend. My mom grew up in England during the punk/post punk movement, so i grew up listening to her The Clash, The Jam, and the Strangler CDs in her car. The Stranglers were a staple for our family on road trips.

One of the first records i added to my collection. I went through a massive Saxon kick and found all their early albums at my local record shop. I love the heavy overdriven guitars, the riff worship, and the emotion in the lyrics that really defines 70's heavy metal to me. Crusader isn't as good an album as Denim & Leather or Strong Arm of the Law, but it's still a kick-ass rock album that can get me through any hangover.
