They’ve always taken the concept of privacy to such an extreme. What is happening there that they’ve started pushing so hard in the opposite direction?

I cannot stress the accuracy and importance of this statement enough. These are fundamentals, especially the chicken powder. Chicken bouillon also works as a substitute if necessary, but you want to get that strong flavor without drowning the dish in liquid.

If we’re being honest with ourselves it goes back much further than that. It has never, at any point, been what it set out to be or what it claimed to be.

Pitchford gives off some strong “do you guys not have phones” energy. He’s so out of touch it’s astounding.

Squadron 42 is the single-player counterpart to Star Citizen. It’s supposed to release next year. Star Citizen, however, is far too complex to self-host. The server technology they’ve shown off is incredible, but it’s not a “single server” thing.

I’m hoping that many of these departures are simply because the underlying technology is finally mature and those people want to move on to new challenges, but I don’t really believe that’s true. It’s clear that Chris Roberts own shortcomings as a boss are poisoning the company and it’s once-passionate workers.

Which is why they’ve been banning RCV, weakening voter protections, gerrymandering, and undermining the democratic process in any and every way they can think of. It’s not because of Trump, though. It’s because they know their oppressive, authoritarian policies are deeply unpopular when presented clearly, which is why they’ve been actively undermining democracy for decades.

Forward-thinking companies should use AI to transform each developer into a "10x developer,"

Developer + AI ≠ Developer x 10

At best, it means 1.25 x Developer, but in most cases, it will mean 0.5 x Developer. Because AI cannot be trusted to generate safe, reliable code.

This is a form of the “Nothing to hide” fallacy.

So what he’s saying is that he wants to replace the tarmac roads with concrete? It’s certainly in character for him.

Affinity is an excellent replacement for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Publisher. Gimp is a dumpster fire, both as software and a FOSS project.

Alpha Centauri is a masterpiece that has never been matched, let alone topped. It’s a shame that rights issues have doomed the franchise.
