We know this is your lunch. You're not slick. On a side note, can you start packing my lunches as well?

I suffer from happiness. My depression pills aren't doing anything.

With a 10 series cards, dx12 performance will be terrible. Nvidia already has issues with dx12 on newer cards but Pascal is beyond worse. You'll have to enable dx11 on games that support it.

I decided on installing debloated windows for my 1070ti media machine. Plugs into a 4k tv and runs modern games well enough at 1440p on medium.

This is my experience and your mileage may vary. I still use linux (cachyOS) on my main machine with a 3070ti but Nobara or Bazzite are also good as others have mentioned.

Yeah, just remove and grab the deb file instead.

I was under the impression that intel dgpu drivers were in the kernel and part of the mesa library. Not sure what kernel Ubuntu is using but you may want to grab a more recent kernel.

Quick search shows people are using kernel 6.12 and mesa 25 with decent success but not in all games. Could also swap to distro with more recent kernel.

Just don't install Steam with snap. Many have had issues in the past with it. Either flatpak or grabbing the deb file from Steam

What issues have you had? Mine connects fine without issue and the quality is ok at best but my car speakers aren't exactly preem. My antenna is even broken off and has a hard time catching regular stations but no issues with my transmitter nor with the bluetooth part of it.

I have one that is bluetooth to cassette. Unfortunately, it has a lot of artifacts during playback. Opted for a bluetooth transmitter that connects to an empty radio channel? Frequency? Works well.

Direct downloads are fine enough. No need for vpn.

Edit: Depends on your location. US is fine with ddl

You can also get a ticket for impeding the flow of traffic even if you obey the fucking speed limit depending on the state and mood of the pig.

Not everything needs a goddamn app.

Also, no I'm not gonna scan the QR code to look at the menu. Luckily, I've never had a resturant decline a request for a physical menu.

The longer I spend on lemmy, the more I feel seen

Currently, if I upgrade to 555 drivers, my second monitor will not show a display despite it being detected by Plasma and xrandr. Additionally, if I do get past the log screen on wayland, my framerate/refresh rate is abysmal but not reported by xrandr. Unplugging the second monitor fixes the issue.

Sometimes, before login, I simply get a black screen/no signal which I've seen other post about but have not seen anything about second display not displaying.

Initially happened on EOS but swapped over to Bazzite and same issue. Reverting to the last 550 drivers and both monitors work fine.

I've tried setting nvidia kernel parameters for wayland and disabiling GSP firmware with no luck. Both monitors connected to the GPU. Issue on both x11 and wayland. Any input would be great.

UPDATE: Connecting the second display with DisplayPort instead of HDMI resolved the issue and I can log into wayland no problem with both functioning displays

Primary Monitor is connect via DisplayPort
Secondary Monitor is connected via HDMI
