To ELI5 this, this happens when whoever made the webpage put a text layer above the image - probably on purpose to make it harder for people to download the image.

It didn't say in the article who the previous five were, so I looked it up:
- Belgium (2016)
- Austria (2020)
- Sweden (2020)
- Portugal (2021)
- United Kingdom (2024)
- Ireland (2025)
That's using the source quoted in the article.
Another source has a longer list:
- Belarus (2015)
- Belgium (2016)
- Austria (2020)
- Sweden (2020)
- Portugal (2021)
- UK (2024)
- Slovakia (2024)
- (Ireland would be here if/when updated for 2025)
I can see it, btw. I'm using Voyager on Android and see a spool of blue cable.
Some of this is paving the cowpath - the animated PNG stuff is 20 years old and e.g. Firefox has had support since March 2007.
APNG is what they're using in v3, so all many libraries need to do* is update that code for HDR.
* surely that's easy, right?
I fact checked that bite force stat and yup, Giant Panda 1.30 kN vs Lion's 1.32 kN.
source: nice article quoting Bite forces and evolutionary adaptations to feeding ecology in carnivores (Ecology).
FYI, you've added a link where the label is the URL and the actual link is empty. You can fix this by removing the [
and ]()
around the link. If the link is there as plain text, it gets a hyperlink automatically: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/07/pay-up-or-stop-scraping-cloudflare-program-charges-bots-for-each-crawl/
I can save you a click by saying it's a Discord bot that notifies when people join the voice chat, but it's a nice read and not too long.
Rosie's R jumper - R for Rosie and/or Ramsey?
I'd thought it would be Jason putting something on the roof since he's been trying to get up there all series. Instead, he completely blindsided us with the Nish reveal - and on the same ep as the Aisling, um, cameo.
Also, I can't be alone in being fooled into thinking the crow was going to play a part in Fatiha's placement.
Raging Horne looked like Humpty Dumpty.
It seems reasonable given that ~~space~~ the atmosphere is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is.
I only found that out today when I was searching for the above image and there were these orange packs in the results.
This was mentioned in the article, although not the fact that it was faked.
I can believe that the tech has improved enough to not need faking this time around.
