I think that the points that DWS brings up are quite good.

If we ignore all of the "rights and freedoms" based arguments, "Why are we spending money to forcing people into treatment, when people who actually want to get into treatment can't, because of a lack of money?" is still quite damming of the program.

If someone wants to get clean, they are much more likely to actually stay clean than someone who was forced to. It's not a one-and-done process. If you don't have supports and tools set-up, relapse rates, even if you want to be clean, are quite high.

If the goal is to reduce the amount of drug users, putting the money to help people who want to be helped would go much further.

If a savory dish doesn't have msg, it's probably wrong.

They edited the title, and it's still not the original title for the article.

That transcript is for "Is Alberta headed towards a separation vote?". The transcript you want should be at the link below, but it looks like it's empty.

The position of the arms matches the position of the people in Loss.

Someone else already said it's popes, as for how it relates to the comic, it's the arms.

Frame 1 = 1 arm up
Frame 2 = 2 arms up, one higher than the other
Frame 3 = 2 arms up, the same height
Frame 4 = 1 vertical arm, one horizontal arm.

Try just using a browser and go to lemmy.blahaj.zone/settings.

Because most people just post as "undetermined" it will likely block almost nothing, or way too much.

Oreos are plant based, they have roughly 0% fibre.
Hellman's plant based mayo has roughly 0% fibre.
Most Energy Drinks have 0% fibre.
A full Diaya plant-based pizza has 32-40% of your daily fibre.

"Plant based" doesn't actually mean that you eat foods that resemble plants, it just means that you don't eat foods that contain animal products.

You can still eat like a 10-year-old who's also a pothead.

"Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes"

I mean, this is the same Trinity Western that wasn't allowed to open up a law school because they are garbage, right?

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trinity-western-supreme-court-decision-1.4707240

They only started to consider dropping their homophobic ways after their law school bid was rejected.

It requires members to abstain from using vulgar language, lying or cheating, stealing, using degrading materials such as pornography, and "sexual intimacy that violates the sacredness of marriage between a man and a woman."

While that rule effectively bars anyone who is unmarried from having sexual relations, it's the reference to "man and a woman" that is considered discriminatory against LGBT people. Same-sex marriage became legal in Canada in 2005.

And Janet, get real. Not being allowed to open a law school because you discriminate against others, doesn't count as a loss in diversity.

Janet Epp Buckingham, a TWU professor who helped develop the law school proposal, said she was saddened by the ruling.

"We feel that this is a loss for diversity in Canada"

Edit: It looks they stopped making students promise to be straight in 2018, but they didn't drop it for the staff.

The previous song was Imagine dragons, a band that is generally considered unwanted.
