I've been thinking a lot recently about limits on property ownership, like how they would work and what the side effects would be. I feel like there needs to be something to prevent a necessary resource like housing from becoming monopolized. Something like antitrust law for property ownership.

Get rid of minimum wage entirely and replace it with UBI and universal healthcare - now you can at least survive without having an income. If you want more than just the bare necessities of food, shelter, and healthcare, you can get a job to earn more money. But, because you're not forced to work to survive, you can be much more selective about the job you take. Businesses will be forced to offer better pay, better working conditions, more flexibility, etc. because now nobody is forced into working a shit job just to make ends meet.

Additionally, we already have tools like Valgrind that would have uncovered the use-after-free bug.

Right? 2 GB for 64-bit Windows 10? The start button alone probably needs more RAM than that.

Elon learned the hard way that you can't do politics if you're unlikeable to literally everyone.

The doorbell rang at a time of day when I don't like to open," Mr Helberg told television channel TV2

I feel ya, Mr. Helberg.

Combined with a minimalist Linux distro, a laptop like that should have amazing battery life. Not sure of a specific use, but maybe something where you have to run off battery for long periods of time. Portable server maybe?

Have you found a good FOSS alternative to Windows Recall by chance?

A few months ago I saw a funny story about a guy who added generics/templates to JavaScript (or maybe TypeScript?) by using runic characters that look like angle brackets to enclose the template parameter, then using a preprocessor to convert the runes, etc. to actual, legal types before compilation. I can't seem to find it anywhere; hoping someone knows what I'm talking about.

I need to adapt a Bluetooth headset (speakers + mic) to 3.5 mm, but the only adapters I can find will either transmit or receive, not both at the same time. Is there some technical limitation why this can't be done, or is there just no market for such a device? Thanks.
