It's clear the Trump government wants to inflate their huge debt away and don't really care for who gets hurt as everybody important got a heads-up and moves assets as needed.
It's not figuring out but just waiting until there are more non-nerds moving in that new market and then start monetizing as the market reaches critical mass for their particular niche.
