Yeah I saw this youbtube video. She definitely didn't like the idea but kept her mouth shut. This was a project Luke Beasley was doing with them and the husband was too toxic off camera for them to continue the project.

More importantly, does Frodo denounce Hasan Piker?

It just isn’t the politician themselves. El-Sayed is a winner because of his platform, and he isn’t bought off by AIPAC and the corporate establishment.

Indeed, those additional attributes were critical in the primary, in general elections, however, most people only have a shallow understanding of policy platforms if any. In general elections most people vote based on party affiliation, name recognition and vibes.

What most people don't understand about the 2024 election is that Harris was the only one who could have legally taken over the ticket without resetting the funding to 0 dollars. Harris was also hamstrung by the Biden team who insisted that she not deviate from Biden's policies in any way.

Women have it tough in politics, AOC makes it seem easy, but it's not easy by any stretch.

Hillary Clinton is a great woman who has done a lot of good in this world, but matured into and mastered a political landscape that underwent massive change as she ran for president. So all the things she had to do to overcome the still ingrained sexism in our political system, like appearing tough by being somewhat hawkish and not taking big swings because you could be accused of being emotional, etc...,

just didn't work anymore. If she could have just let her guard down and dropped the politician speak and dumped the political consultants I think she would have beaten Trump. And if she had been able to get a majority in the Congress I'm convinced she would have signed Medicare For All into law. She just wasn't convinced she could spend her own political capital to push for it and be successful.

For decades, people became more and more disenchanted with politicians because of their ever calculating, triangulating speech which comes off as manipulative and inauthentic. And then when a rich opinionated idiot with no filter came along many people conflated his audacity and loutish behavior with authenticity.

A growing number of voters are becoming more sophisticated and the old ways don't cut it anymore. The El Sayed win is a great example of this. In order to win today you need to demonstrate authenticity, expertise and enthusiasm. Clinton had the expertise and the enthusiasm, but she always came off as cold, even though she's a lovely person. It's interesting that Bill seems more authentic and approachable, but he's the real bastard in that couple.

I've been building my own PCs since the late 80's. This is the first time I've had hardware appreciate in value.

If your goal is to work within the system to make the system fairer for women, then it's not necessarily dirty. It's money from the very system you're trying to change.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday afternoon to change the name of Lake Ontario to “Lake America,” his latest escalation as he engages in a tense trade war with Canada.

“‘Lake of America’ was something I’ve been thinking about for a long time,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “We have a gulf and we have a lake. Now, all we need is an ocean. So, maybe we’ll have to change the name of the Atlantic and/or the Pacific. Maybe we’ll change them both.”

Surrounded by large maps of the Great Lakes, Trump said the name change was “effective immediately,” and that his staff had “filed all the necessary papers, documents, everything else.” A White House aide claimed the lake “has most of its volume in the United States” and that the “deepest parts” are in US territory.
