I think to most people, "Cartridge" or "bullet" would imply the overall round, not the projectile or caliper.

22lr is the same caliper as 5.56.

No... I said that a 30.06 cartridge can be loaded to multiple pressures and fire different weight projectiles. All effecting total muzzle energy, but without some really funky loads, it's not deviating enough from the norm to cause the effect OP described in their conspiracy theory.

How do you possibly take the whole of my explanation and think that I'm trying to say the say the bullet type doesn't matter?

No, not really. The type of gun doesn't make a difference aside from the length of the barrel, but that's pretty negligible for anything remotely normal (i.e. not a ~4-10inch barrel in this case).

Same thing with the cartridge/bullet, total energy varies bullet to bullet, but again, in a negligible way.

The real explanation is that the damage people expect from this cartridge is caused by hydrostatic shock: the shockwave caused by the bullet entering and slowing down significantly (transferring energy). Hitting somewhere soft and without much muscle mass, the side of the neck, let the bullet pass through without transferring a ton of energy.

He won't need a pardon (from DeSantis, not Trump), because he'll never be charged.

He resigned from his position, so now he'll just get deputized by another hick Sheriff.

So you're saying that you don't want to miss out on any money that can be made from exploiting children?

Zuck may be at the top, but all of Meta violated the law, I assume as an investor you support this "cost of doing business" slap on the wrist because... Profits over everything, amirite?

[–] FullPenguin@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Zuck and Meta Investors.

The fact that school pension systems, among others, are passively supporting this by refusing to divest is probably a bigger slap in society's face than a single creep like Zuck abusing children for profit.

They also canceled the Army's Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) project because it used a hybrid powertrain.

The Army decided that a BEV with ICE generator fit the needs of the program best: quiet, high torque, and precision control.

Effectiveness is too woke for Trump's military

And the consequences for those involved?

At the very least there should be an investigation as to how this data was developed, so that we can avoid making this 'mistake' in the future. Right?...

Because your race doesn't exclude you from being a scumbag.

MAGA don't actually pay attention, especially not to things that aren't covered by the National Fox News broadcasts. It doesn't matter that he only raised $1,800 for his run and did essentially no campaigning.

He won because "Thomas Smith" is a whiter name than "Amir Hassan" or "Al Lemmo".

If only.

If this is the thing that does EA in, we can all feel a little pride and accomplishment.

The egg prices were a result of price fixing in an effort to undermine the Biden administration and get Trump elected.

The 3 companies involved were fined ($3.3 million, after profiting 1.2 Billion from it).
