Texture resolution doesn't map to screen/render resolution like that. Depending on the object, its mesh, the physical size (dimensions) of the in-game object, and how close your player view/camera is to it, you can absolutely see a clear difference between 2k and 4k textures for the object, even when the game is rendering at 720p or lower.

The share button doesn't require a subscription. It captures footage and stores it locally for you to freely do whatever you want with.

Matrix is one example of such a system.

Executing people for drug offences is pretty fucked in the first place. Hell, executing people at all is atrocious. The death penalty is barbaric.

From a web developer's standpoint, Safari is basically the modern Internet Explorer, though admittedly less extreme. It's not rare for it to be the last of the major browsers to implement new standards/features, and it's definitely the most common one to have an incomplete and/or buggy implementation. This sometimes goes on for years when Apple just doesn't care about a feature. There are some fairly widely-used standards today that it still has a buggy/incomplete implementation of.

I hate Safari not because it's owned by Apple, but because it makes my life more difficult when doing web development. It's basically the modern Internet Explorer, though admittedly less extreme. Steam's DRM is completely optional and is among the least intrusive DRMs available for developers to use. Many games are sold 100% DRM-free on Steam.

Lmao. As a 5-year Tesla owner, I actually am excited about all of the protests and clear, visible action against Elon right now. As it continues to escalate and the stock continues to fall, I hope that the Tesla board will finally realize it's long past time to get rid of him so the company can go back to pushing EVs forward. Dude lost the plot years ago.

The vast majority of the "recalls" are just over-the-air software updates to improve behavior/fix bugs. The NHTSA didn't distinguish a routine software update from an actual recall at all until last December.

The quantity of hecklers we see actually makes complete sense based on what he said in this 8-year old reddit thread.

Nudity isn't inherently sexual, and they pointedly have not mentioned it in the quoted text. It sounds like only explicit sexual content is forbidden, not nudity.

I do think even this is an overreach for a federated network, though, assuming Pixelfed is enforcing this on all instances (is that even possible?). It should be on the instance owners to make that decision. I couldn't find where the quoted text is sourced from, however.
