Yes, I've had a few comfortable rides from Bayview to the south, including one to the EY Centre.

From where I am at, It's a 30 mins walk to Bank St., and a 45 mins walk to the other shopping areas on Walkley and Blossom Park. A few convenience stores are nearby for 10 mins walk. I used to walk quite a bit (20-30kms a day) so my perspective of a short walk may be skewed. However, I tried to make my recent walks functional: get out for a nice walk but with a destination (like groceries) as the end goal.

But that's where I am from. If you lived on the closest edge of Greenboro, the nearest stores on Bank would be 10 mins away.at the furthest edge, would be close to an hour.

¡Hola! I would definitely recommend Greenboro (south east end) for the sheer number of walking trails throughout the neighbourhood, as well as being in between South Keys and Walkley for shopping options. :) The number of transit options are limited (to a few buses), but we do have access to the updated O-Train that now runs south as well.

As you say, the update came in earlier. https://www.reddit.com/r/ottawa/comments/1jsuvbc/east_block_update_one_man_arrested_ottawapoliceca/

That all said, there was other craziness happening around the city last night and earlier today. :-(

Ooo, maybe they'll release a figurine of "God", St. John Talbot or that cat dancer for wave 3! :-P

Now that I think about it, they'll probably release sand dune dancing Uhura or Marsh Mellon camping Spock.

People laughed at the Donner Superman portrayal of Lex Luthor who is obsessed with real estate, but maybe the writers and director had the foresight to know where we were heading:

"He said, 'Son, stocks may rise and fall, utilities and transportation systems may collapse. People are no damn good, but they will always need land and they'll pay through the nose to get it!'" ~ Lex Luthor, Superman (1978) (who proceeded to launch two nukes to get his precious land)

"'You can print money, manufacture diamonds and people are a dime a dozen, but people will always need land.' It's the one thing we aren't making anymore." ~ Lex Luthor, Superman Returns (2006) (who then proceeded to create his own island that threatened the geophysical existence of the continental U.S.)

And now here we are, with a poorly drawn war Presichump (or chimp) wannabe who is a failed real estate mogul. Aside from the increased navigational access, critical minerals and continental defense, he wants to be there first to plant his business flag, because he knows rich people will need somewhere else to go when the other places are too hot, flooded, the local population is worked to death, inhospitable, etc. Until they build the Elysium, or get to Mars, they're stuck here with us.

Yes, there is an online/phone tip line you can write to: https://bwl-lsf.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/tip-sub-en.html

That said, they may still have to let him in if not convicted of anything or nothing that holds up to reasonable grounds for refusal. And the supporters could always write to the Minister involved, asking for them to intervene for his entry.
