Of course Biden shouldn't do anything heinous, but he definitely should do something earthshaking against either Republican party or the Supreme Court just to make a point.

Why wouldn't they have a up/down multi-bucket contraption instead? And then have only one donkey pull the wheel to power it.

I don't post almost anything online. I mostly just comment. But even the comments I make I sometimes consume as content - I really like comming back and rereading them to enjoy how good and smart I've been.

Lemmy is an improvement on Reddit, but imo not by much. There really is no innovation on the fundamental concept of subreddits/communities. The issue with Lemmy is that I've come across so many promising communities that quickly die off after the initial spurt of activity. I wonder if there is a better organic way to grow the "online discussion" from some form of general cespool, that can segementize only later when those needed segments (communities) emerge naturally.

Might as well use a bike instead. Or an e-scooter.

If you play D&D through Discord video group call, is it then a video-game?

Look! I invented a much better version that everyone will understand immediately.

The r/yogscast subreddit has gone back online, but there's a discussion about further going dark. I hope yougnoughts will migrate to fediverse.

But when I visit my profile page in ingognito mode all my posts do show up.

https://lemm.ee/u/Hedup/view/Posts/sort/TopAll/page/1

This makes it hard to find my old posts.

EDIT: I had "Show Read Posts" unclicked in my settings. When I click it, my posts in my profile show up once again.

I am experiencing this using this page.

https://lemm.ee/home/data_type/Post/listing_type/All/sort/Hot/page/1

Is this just lemm.ee or also occurs for other lemmies?

So far for me the process is very convoluted:

  1. I go to https://browse.feddit.de/ and find the community.
  2. Then I need to copy it's name.
  3. Then I need to go to my particular instance (lemm.ee)
  4. Then I type manually in my browser address bar lemm.ee/c/
  5. Then I go back to https://browse.feddit.de/ and copy the address of the original instance of the community.
  6. Then I go back and add the original instance address to already typed thing in step 4 like this lemm.ee/c/@
  7. Then I can finally subscribe!

Oh my God! Please, tell me there's a better way of doing this!

EDIT: There is a better way! Solution is to ... use the search function in your instances home page and select community (if it exists already) and search. This way I don't need to go to browse.feddit.de anymore. And links will take me straight the the communities "reflection" in my own instance, where I can subscribe.

Can this be instantly achieved? Or is it inevitable that this process of reaggregation into single community will continue for a long time (months or even years)? Let's discuss!

I personally am not a mod of any subreddit. I just had this question arise in my brain.
