I'm not so paranoid, but at the same time, will it actually be useful? This sounds like a way to generate a mountain of data with minimal benefit. I don't really trust AI at the moment to be able to help me with some vague recollection of work that was done 3 weeks ago, for example (I go through a lot of cases each month).

Like I've said elsewhere, the fediverse tends to have a lot of paranoid zealots. It's a bit offputting really.

Ok, that is pretty bad. As mentioned, I've had it happen once. I use the app search function a lot, which I've set to the swipe up gesture, and it just stopped working that day. Had to find a way to force reset the launcher. Having that happen every 2-3 days to multiple times a day would be a dealbreaker for me.

Oh yea, I tried that too, nope, just simply can't compare. That's why Adobe still gets my money as much as I don't want to give it to them. Luckily the Photography plan hasn't increased in price... yet.

I'll still be using Windows (no time for Linux), but really, why does the user have to do this for a pleasant experience? MS shouldn't be hostile towards their users.

Yea, that was my take as well. Try RawTherapee, they said. Nope, inferior, there were some photos where I could spot them in full-screen view, not even at 100%.

Don't forget, control the sale of data too. Audits etc to make sure they comply with privacy safeguards, and so on.

This is just pandering as well as, I suspect, to give a corporate donor a profit-making business.

I think this is more tied with advertising analytics, but I share the same opinion. I don't love it, but it's not a killer. The fediverse tends to attract a more idealistic and paranoid crowd, which I don't think is reflective of how most people are.

As other people mentioned, an Osprey. I recently gave away an old shoulder bag by them that I got back in the early 2000s. That's 20 years ago! Still works, just didn't need that kind of bag any more. Currently have one of their newer Arcane bags, and so far, it's been promising after a year.

Hmm, I've had it happen once, thought it was odd. Are you on a Samsung too, like the other comment? How often does it happen?

Honestly, don't care. Until it gets shitty (which it still has a good chance of doing so), I'll continue to use it.

Ah, right, I don't have AI on my phones. Can't you just ignore them though?

SINGAPORE — The Build-to-Order (BTO) sales exercise for October saw an overall application rate of about 1.4 times its available supply, a few hours before applications for flats were slated to close on Tuesday (Oct 10) night.

The Nikon Zf is a 24MP full-frame mirrorless camera with classic looks that adds the latest Expeed 7 processor and features such as 3D Tracking AF to the $2000 price point currently addressed by the Nikon Z6 II.

My own take: This looks nicer than the Df I tested years ago. If I had disposable income I'd just get this with 3-4 primes.

As some of you may know, szmer.info is a domain that's basically full of spammers, so I blocked it. However upon doing so a thread (https://kbin.social/m/technology@lemmy.world/t/344185/I-m-worried-that-in-the-future-we-will-be-forced) I was reading basically disappeared from my feed, and on reloading it all the comments disappeared. I went through the comments and I don't think any of the users were from szmer.info, so I'm wondering what triggered this behaviour. Is this a bug or did I miss out on something? Thanks!

Having read and watched about flat-bottom and conical pourovers thanks to a previous post, I thought of two things: What about the common electric drip machine, and also will there be any difference with local coffee, since I've only used the drip machine exclusively with that?

The common coffee in my area is very different from what most experience here: It's a very dark roast of Robusta caramalised with sugar. I was thinking a conical pourover won't change it much, would it?

Turns out the answer is yes, it does. I understand what "clarity" means now, I definitely felt the difference. The downside is the acidity that people were referencing about with conical filters also came out, and it's not exactly a flavour I enjoy. Thanks to everyone whose previous comments made me try this little experiment. I'm now looking to the next step and get a flat bottom brewer!
